-What did Peyton Manning really tell Andre Johnson about being a Texan?-

"Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson recently gave the most revealing interview of his career, discussing everything from his childhood and family life to whether or not he’s willing to take a pay cut heading into the 2015 season.

An in-depth feature story on Johnson will run in Sunday’s Houston Chronicle.

One of the most interesting topics Johnson covered was about one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Before Peyton Manning signed with Denver in March 2012, the Super Bowl-winning QB was linked to several teams as he moved closer toward parting ways with Indianapolis. The Texans, coming off a 10-6 record and their first AFC South title, were one of them.

With the Texans still searching for a franchise quarterback after 13 seasons, Manning-to-the-Texans continues to create intrigue more than two years after he became a Bronco." ...

I wonder if we could get Andre Johnson to come here next year. He didn't seem that happy with the state of the Texans last year and maybe could use a change of scenery. Can you imagine what a WR package with him involved would look like? DT and Andre as WRs, Emmanuel Sanders in the slot, Cody Latimer coming in on four-wide packages, JT in the mix at TE...completely uncoverable.

Andre deserves a quality QB, however he did have more weapons around him than ever before

It will be interesting to see if Manning does become a Texan. The Broncos haven't been undivided behind Manning, even Elway indicating Brock is under consideration. If I'm Peyton, I would be concerned about the lack of support, and teams will be trying to pry him away. I don't think it will be that hard to do.

I think you should watch the Kubiak press conference, and then tell us how you think Denver hasn't shown Peyton support. SMH

Elway has shown a lot of support for Osweiler, even commenting that they have confidence in Osweiller to take over if they lose Manning. I don't see Manning wanting to end on a bad note, he will keep playing. Manning to another team is a possible outcome.

He is giving OZ support when asked what if Manning retires. Not once did he ever imply that OZ is better, or they didn't want Peyton to come back. I think you are taking his answers out of context to fit your argument. Manning is signed to the Broncos for 2 more years so the only way he leaves is if he retires.

Some people completely missed the point of this thread. Manning wanted to play for Kubiak. He did not wake up one day feeling it would be cool to wear the Texans' uniform no matter who's there. He wanted to play for the Texans because he respected that coaching staff and that system. With so many suitors, there is no way Manning would join a team without feeling really good about the coaches. He has a lot of respect for Mike Shanahan's football mind and Kubiak is from the same tree. Manning is not going anywhere. I bet he can't wait to start working with Kubiak.
