Broncos sign Kyle Williams, three others to future contracts

Denver signed four players to future contracts on Monday, including former Niners and Chiefs wideout/return man Kyle Williams, who worked out for the team earlier in the month. Williams, the son of White Sox exec Kenny Williams, has some experience returning both kicks and punts, and would figure to compete with Omar Bolden and Jordan Norwood for return duties next summer.

Linebacker Chase Vaughn was also signed; he spent the summer with the Broncos before being waived in late August with an injury. The other two signees are wideout Jeremy Kelley, who has played in the CFL and Arena League, and corner Curtis Marsh, a 2011 third-round pick of the Eagles with 13 career tackles to his credit.

After Jacquian Williams knocked the ball from his grasp and the Giants recovered at the 24-yard line, Kyle Williams was the scapegoat in San Francisco. The 23-year-old’s name quickly started trending on Twitter—partly because some 49ers fans lent their support, but mostly because he was the subject of hateful messages, several openly rooting for his death.

Someone, presumably a 49ers fan based on his profile image, tweeted that he hopes Williams and his family dies. Another wished Williams died in his sleep Sunday night. And when another tweeted that he’s not sure Williams deserves to be receiving death threats, someone said that notion was “debatable.”
Bill Buckner was lucky Twitter didn't exist back in 1986, that's all I'm saying.

I'd like to think Broncos fans would be above something like, but I'm not so sure there aren't bad apples in every bunch--even the orange and blue variety.

Denver had bad apples sure, but on the whole, the orchard isn't as rotten like a number of teams.

I don't think any Denver fans did that when Moore blew our SB hopes vs Balto. Not that there aren't bad apples, but all in all I think we have a great fan base

Williams would be more of a depth guy since Welker is gone, and Caldwell might be too.

Bolden or Norwood would return kicks/punts next year.

Totally forgot about Norwood, he was gonna have a huge role before he got hurt.
