Talib is not asked to shadow any receiver. Jdr forces coordinators to pick their poison. Most coordinators choose to go at Talib or roby Jdr likes all the corners against any wr. Roby has covered his fair share of top receivers this year because of that. Teams are scared to go at Harris because he's almost always in position to make a play

There is little doubt that all the sports analysts' talk of Peyton having big struggles cost him any votes for the All Pro team. And that is not fair, nor is it true. Peyton still had 39 TDs and more than 4700 passing yards once again. He didn't throw a TD last Sunday vs Oakland, but lit it up through the air. I like the strategy of using CJ to finish off the drives in goal-to-go situations. Naturally, that is going to cut down on Peyton's passing numbers. I'm sure Peyton couldn't care less about not getting All-pro anyways. The media now thinks we are in trouble, but every coach left in the playoffs will make stopping Manning their top priority. So, in the eyes of the people who really matter in the NFL, Peyton is still an elite passing threat.

not sure how you figure that. There are some very good OLB to pick from.

            Same thing with Talib/Harris here.

But not shocking you dont know that.
            This is classic.

Harris didn't cover Green versus the Bengals while Revis shut him down.

Revis covered Watkins in both matchups with the Bills, please tell me how he covered the 'smaller' receiver in that matchup? I think Harris was on Woods.

Very happy for Dumervil, totally deserved it. He broke the Ravens' sack record with 17.0, not to mention the constant pressure he puts on the QB even when it's not a sack. Wish he was still a Bronco. One of Elway's mistakes.

It will be all the sweeter to be Super Bowl champs without having a first team all-pro on the team.

I second the congratulations for Dumervil. He had a great year.

Can not agree with your assertion that Elway screwed up re-signing him though. That is on Dumervil and his inexperienced agent trying to pull a slick one on the Broncos. Elway did not blink. Broncos offered more and gave Dumervil every opportunity to be a part of the Broncos.

The "faxgate" fiasco was on the agent. Dumervil signed the contract but the agent sent tit 15 mins too late. Remember he was fired by Dumervil soon after. And the Player's Association de-certified him too. Broncos/Elway did nothing wrong.

I don't really have an issue with any of this. It's not like they got no votes...I do think DT over Dez, but that's about it. The rest of the players are pretty hard to argue with.

                        No, actually I'm spot on.

Furthermore, when the Patriots went to a 3WR set, he covered Amendola - truly elite.

The best CB in the NFL can't cover Edelman to save his life:

Tom Brady to Julian Edelman to go ahead of the Denver broncos 28-24 early in the 4th quarter

Elway offered Dumervil more than he got from Baltimore.

                          Thats on Dumervil, not Elway.

But Harris covered Sanu, the better route runner.

                            You cited one example.

Even still, not sure why you care so much, obsessed much.
He just can't stand that chris Harris is better than revis.

Like most others I think Harris should have been picked first team. Miller has been asked to do more than pass rush this year. That probably hurt him in the voting.

Chris Harris blanketed ty Hilton. Harris covers no 1 receivers 30% of the time, all of our cbs will face the other teams top receiver over the course of a game so all of them cover the no 1 wr roughly 30% of the time. No matter who Harris faces he shuts them down. Offenses dictate who our cbs guard not our defense because del rio believes all of our cbs match up well with top receivers.
