  • Raiders eager for second interview with JDR

Seen on NFL.com where they are eager to get JDR. If he leaves who would replace him? Since 49ers cleaned house could we get Vic Fangio? Or is there any other DC that could take our talent and make them better and not be so scared to Blitz and put Miller or KNIGHTON!! in pass rush..

I'd assume we'd bring back Dennis Allen.

Dennis Allen wasn't too impressive to me maybe it was because our defense was so tired for being on the field for 40 minutes with a less than good offense. Vic Fangio would be a top choice, couple other names like Kris Richards, Seattle Seahawks Secondary coach, Al Holcomb, Carolina Panthers LB Coach..Anyone else have any candidates?

Gase Will be head coach because no other coach is going to come in here and bow down and get out voted for a ridiculous game plan yesterday like John Fox did.

I hope not because manning is done.

If Del Rio leaves, the best guy to replace him hasnt been mentioned here yet. I think the best succesor to Del Rio would be Dick LeBeau. He would be one of the best DCs the Broncos have ever had. He would build Denver's D into a powerhouse, just like he did with the Steelers for most of the time he was there. LeBeau would be my choice, if I was Elway and JDR left.

Love that, I also wouldn't mind Dennis Allen back too, he did turn the Defense into a great Defense that held the game close for tebow to work his magic.

I TOTALLY AGREE! What Denver did on offense Sunday was the EXACT same game-plan they used last year when Denver lost in Indy. Go deep, go deep and more deep passes. It didnt work last year and didnt work this year in the playoffs. Had the Broncos' O stuck with the running game, which was working in the first qtr. on Sunday and stuck with the short passing game, which won Peyton an MVP last year...the Broncos would be going to NE for the AFC Championship. I've never liked many of Gase's play calls. WAY, WAY, too many passes on 3rd and 1...when we had an RB who could easily pick it up. But thats all in the past...I'm much more concerned about the future of this team...Peyton or not, who is the new HC and who may be replacing the DC and OC positions. I'm a bit worried about next season...a lot of ? marks.

We could always stink it up for a few years, I think losing a few seasons right now is being better than getting "1 and done" at home, lower expectations hurt alot less.

Both suck, but I'd rather have "1 and dones". At least that way, your team is winning during the season and you can make some additions in the off-season to try and go further in the playoffs. When you miss the playoffs, that just means you have much, much more to do to get your team good enough to be a playoff team...which could take years.

For 2014, its probably just as well the Broncos didnt get to the AFC Championship...I dont think they'd beat the Pats in NE and I dont think we're good enough to beat Seattle yet and we'd just get blown away in the SB again. If Peyton stays and we retain most of our free-agents, the Broncos have all the offensive and defensive pieces in place to be a championship team. They question is...what new leadership and scheme will be brought to the team in the future from the HC and coordinator positions...will it work or not? Time will tell.
