To me, this Denver radio guy sounds more Bostonian than like one from Denver.

The guy's comments about Peyton are a bit extreme, however he was right about one thing...Peyton should've run for that first down. He had so much space in front of him on that play, he could've walked for the first down if his thigh was bothering him. Peyton should've also audibled out of some of Gase's long pass plays to go short or run the ball more.
But the two things I dont like about Manning are...1. He's way too mechanical about the plays called and doesnt improvise very well at all. I've noticed if the play doesnt materialize like in practice, he panics. Thats why (in my opinion) Elway will always be a better QB than Manning, because John could improvise very, very well. Manning will sometimes force a pass if it isnt open...just because thats how the play is designed. 2. Peyton is not much of a leader, when things go badly. He acted like a whipped puppy in Sunday's game and last year's SB as well. I know Elway doesnt like that at all and neither do I.
But do I want Peyton to come back? ABSOLUTELY...if he's healthy. The Broncos as a team just need some more leadership....either at the HC position or some other positions.

IF you look at the still that was included regarding him running or passing, the WR was behind both DBs, 20 yards away. IF Manning throws the ball 25-30 yards down the field towards the sideline it is a huge play. It is an honest question whether the smarter play was to run for the first down or not, but it is a ridiculous statement to say that it was a "lack of courage" that caused him NOT to run for the 5 yards because if IT WAS SO OBVIOUS HE WOULD MAKE THE FIRST DOWN BECAUSE NO ONE WAS AROUND, WHAT IS SO COURAGEOUS ABOUT IT?

“It’s just he’s … did you really like the richest kid on your block who always had everything and always had to have everything his way and everything always went right for him and life just went fantastic for that rich kid? There’s just something unlikeable about that guy, even if he’s a great guy,” McKee said. “Manning, don’t you wish like a cement truck would fall on his head at some point?”
I wouldn't be shocked that 38-year-old Manning doesn't have a lot of close friends in a locker room populated mostly by guys 25 years old +/- 2 years. That's not the same as not having a good working relationship on the field and during practice.Last edited by dbjeff; 01-13-2015, 03:44 PM."This is a terrible thread and I've negged the OP." -CoryWinget81

You know who Elway used to hang out with when he was with the Broncos? Mike Shanahan and Gary Kubiak. Later he would go on fishing trips with Bubby Brister and Brian Griese, but generally he didn't hang out with a lot of the players on the team.
And D-Mac is one of the most flip-flopping, bandwagonish, inaccurate radio hosts I've ever seen. He's always got "sources" who tells him things that generally turn out to be grossly incorrect. The fact is Manning is pushing 40 with a family. He probably doesn't have A LOT in common with most of these players on the team.sigpic

DMac is a hack, a loser and pretty pathetic when you look at it. The way he spoke about the Pats, this guy appears to me to be a snake and a really pathetic person. The way he attacked Peyton just because he has money is somewhat childish and also sad that someone has to go to such lengths to hate a guy that is a good person. Guess what? NFL players are rich. You don't want them to be rich? Don't go to games and don't buy merchandise. it's as simple as that. The amount of dirt this guy threw at Peyton is ridiculous.
This is nothing but a hit piece and a nice way to show himself as a butt-kisser.
I call shenanigans. As a matter of fact, Peyton is very much liked by his teammates. He jokes around, is easy to get along with and has charisma and a personality. Can he be demanding? Yeah. Does he scream sometimes? Of course he does. If you've ever played sports and don't get angry at teammates it's not normal. Things flare-up. Although he's nowhere near a guy like Dez Bryant for example or Tom Brady who are the real whiners.
So no, everything in this crap piece is to cater to the most classless fans in the NFL : the spawns of Satan themselves, the Patriots.
