While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Broncos QB Brock Osweiler Speaks Out About Peyton Manning
Besides the fact that I disagree with your opinion and just don't like it; you've proven countless times that your opinion is near the exact opposite of the truth, so this must mean Oz is for sure a HoF QB!
I like it, but at he same time I just haven't seen enough yet to know one way or the other. Hope he gets some playing time this year to see what we got.

^--- I have a similar view, but not so negative. I think he needs to play really well this pre-season for me to feel more confident.
However, if we get through this year and Oz is everything Elway thinks he is, then we could have a starting QB contract that is incredibly team-friendly for the next several years. I see that as a MAJOR benefit from all of this...
I get that, but I'm sure there have been a lot of QB's in the past that the brain trust of their team thought was a sure hit that didn't actually pan out in game time situation. He could just as easily be the next Curtis Painter as Aaron Rodgers and until we really see him play (and I mean practicing all week with the 1's taking all the snaps and starting the game and not just being thrown in there in garbage time) We really have zero idea of what we really have.
I'm hopeful that he can be great, but he could be a failed experiment it's up in the air right now.
To me he looks like a completely lost rookie every time he steps on the field. You often see some promising play from backup qbs in the preseason but so far oz has I think 1 good preseason game in....is it 3 years now?
I know that doesnt guarantee that he wont be good if given a starting shot, I just dont understand how so many people can be so confident about him. We havent seen a whole lot but what we have seen so far has been....quite awful.
I know the coaching staff sounds as though they like him, but what else are they gonna say? I really hope it works out with him, but I would say its much more likely that it wont. It shouldnt be a shock to bronco fans if he isnt either. Most teams are looking for a stud at qb, its not easy to find.
The brain trust in Denver seems to feel strongly about this QB. If I were to pick one person to chose the heir apparent it would be Elway, period. Unless he gets starry eyed ala Shanny/Cutler or for some crazy reason another proven starter falls in our lap, I think Os is it.
The Broncos are not going to be bottom feeders anytime soon under Elway. Short of selling the farm for a 1st pick were going with Plan A part 2.
It's the off season and I'm feeling saucy so the prediction stands.

Oz will start a few games, Kubs is not afraid to set Manning a game or two if he thinks it will allow him time to heal up for the next week. The odds of Manning going through the season without getting banged up are slim, and it is more important that Manning be as close to 100% as possible entering the postseason. As Kubs says "It does not matter how you get there, what's important is how you finish". The last few seasons Manning has not been healthy entering the playoffs and it shows up.
We need him to see the field! I am in no way wishing PM anything but a HOF sendoff year but we need to offer Os a contract based on something more than a wish sandwich.
I agree. At some point Os needs to see the field. Hopefully, PM has us in blowouts and he can get a quarter here and there. We can't sign this guy blind.
I hope so. A transition from PM to average would cause these boards to crash. We don't need him to be HOF, just above average with his decision making and capable of not turning the ball over. Not necessarily manage the offense but "run" the offense. We should be fine, but we don't know yet and time will only tell how long the PM ride will be running.
