  • A simple solution will fix the Denver Broncos offense

    http://milehighsports.com/a-simple-s...oncos-offense/

It’s not that Manning couldn’t read the defense correctly; he saw the blitz coming and found the one-on-one matchup. And it’s not that he couldn’t get the ball to his receiver; time and again, his passes flew well beyond the intended target. The Broncos just couldn’t connect; for whatever reason, they couldn’t complete the pass.

And therein lies the problem. Without beating the tightly bunched defense over the top a time or two, there was no reason for the Ravens (or Colts or whoever is on the schedule next) to change tactics. As a result, they had too many men in the box for the Broncos to run the ball effectively and were able to blanket everything underneath in a way that prevented Denver from getting their short passing game going.

While I don't completely agree with the article it has some valid points. This is a good summary of the domino effect that is created when Peyton continues to miss deep passes.

Teams are cheating up so much that it is suffocating our run game and we just bail on it. This extends to the protection because teams are getting more and more brazen with their schemes against Peyton. He is nervous back there and it shows, he feels the pressure before it's there. He needs to hit those throws or it will never end.
Anonymity is cowardice, and cowards are not known for their wisdom.

ya its obvious since last season he doesn't trust the pass protection ...but that's expected with how porous they been, specially leaving unblocked Lbrs up the middle multiple times

I think we get the pass protect holding up a little better we will see a better manning
