"Broncos safety David Bruton is one of 32 nominees for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in recognition of his efforts to improve childhood literacy.

Good for him. Been a solid contributor to the Broncos for years and it looks like the community as well.

I wasn't familiar with his off-field foundation work.

What I am familiar with is a player who seems to have completely changed himself, physically, and who has re-defined himself as a Player. He's 9th on the team in Tackles, with 2 Interceptions. This guy seems to have really taken the next step. A step I would never have predicted a couple of years ago.

      And now this! Amazing.

Bruton is a class act and definitely an unsung hero on this team.

Quietly he has become what Steve Atwater, Keith Burms and Champ Bailey were to this team, a true and well respected leader.

        Props to him!
