Broncos practice squad S Ryan Murphy was detained in a prostitution sting in San Jose on Tuesday evening.
Not a good way for Murphy to kick off Super Bowl week. Murphy was a seventh-round pick of the Seahawks last May, but didn't make it past final cuts and was signed to the Broncos' practice squad. Murphy and his brother were in a car when police busted them meeting up with the prostitute. Murphy was let go with a citation, but we'd expect him to be sent packing by Denver.
I always wondered....if you work that hard, out that much effort in to the gym, practice, studying, pain, injury....what's so bad about just staying your butt in the hotel for the week to avoid problems? Do ya gotta party that bad? There's a world of people out to break down success, why expose yourself? Win the game and THEN go out. And prostitutes??? How come these guys cant get some groupie love? Baffling.

"Escorts" are always better than groupies. As long as you "conduct your business" based upon the agreed upon terms and prices, you will never find yourself in a Perish Cox / Big Ben type situation. "Escorts" aren't looking for a meal ticket. They prefer the cold cash of their clientele and dont need or want any extra drama.

Now my problem with Murphy is that the league has a list of well "services" that they prefer players use and their security properly "clears" their use. Very discrete and they and never any issues. But does he use that service........NOPE! He and his brother get busted with the grimy, seedy, and cheap "talent" that is usually chock full of issues. Like sex trafficking, underage, etc.......

Bottom line, if u can't afford the services "approved" by NFL security, keep it in your pants for a week. And tell you knuckle head brother to stay home.

I know, which is why I responded with Murphy's Law.

Hope he isn't mad where he tells about our game plan. Maybe that's why they didn't cut him... Yet

How much of the game plan would be known by a practice squad safety?

I was walking down Colfax wearing a couple oranges and a wig, bumped into the guy and cops came from everywhere. It was really not that big a deal.

I'm actually glad this happened to a no-name practice squad player.

You know the Broncos will use this as an example to the rest of the team to let them know to stay somewhat in line.

Question: how many of you had even heard of this dude? I know I didn't recognize his name as one of our ps players. It'll be ridiculous when this story blows up

In other news I just saw that cam and the panthers were getting drunk and celebrating in a night club
                        You heard wrong. Completely wrong.

The Panthers "club" consisted of a room in their own hotel that they made into "Club Shiznit". Alcohol was banned, as were women. They played video games, (mostly Madden), and just chilled.

No freaking clue where you got the story that they went to some club and got drunk unless you just glanced at the title and inferred that they must be drunk if they went to a club.

If you make a phone call to the right person, they can get you virtually anything you need. NFL Security is an amazing service. It's not sanctioned, nor is it something that could ever be linked. But approved "vendors" do exist. And all for the sake of keeping guys out of trouble.

I can't help but believe that information would have gotten out to the degree that every news network would be talking about it.

But, who knows. There's so much money involved in the NFL that nothing would surprise me.
