We don't have him locked in yet.... A Tender signed is for a 2nd round pick. Teams can take a stab at him but will lose that pick. If nobody touches it, he plays at that price.

Do not know a lot about this but I think once the player signs he is under contract.

My understanding is the tender is offered but before a player signs he can negotiate with other teams. Once he signs he is under contract.

            He is

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restricted_free_agent

n addition to the following outcomes, if a player does not receive an offer sheet from his original team, he becomes an unrestricted free agent. If a player signs the offer sheet from his original team, he remains with that team.
Since Marshall signed, he isn't going anywhere.

You can negotiate once signed. Only ERFA have no ability to negotiate.

Wow....let's be honest 2.5 mil a year aint bad. IF he has another year like he did this year then I suspect he will simply command a larger payday.

Great price for a player of his calibre.

Apparently the Dolphins and Seahawks are interested, it's just a matter of whether or not they're willing to give up their 2nd round pick for him.

Good news, being the signal caller and the guy that lines everybody up I thought Marshall was the most important linebacker to bring back.
