Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Peyton Manning, Jim Irsay to hold news conference at Colts complex Friday
For the second time in four years, Colts owner Jim Irsay is going to be holding a press conference with Peyton Manning. Only this time around, things will likely go a lot smoother.
The Colts have announced that they'll be holding a press conference at noon on Friday where Manning will be honored. Manning won't officially be retiring as a Colt though because he's on the Broncos' reserve/retired list, which means Denver owns his NFL rights.
The press conference comes almost exactly four years after the last press conference Manning held with Irsay. Back in March 2012, the Colts held an emotional conference where they announced that they were getting rid of Manning. This time around, there should be a few more smiles.
Manning is being honored by the team that made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. During his 14 seasons with the Colts, Manning set pretty much every franchise passing record from passing yards, to touchdown passes to most wins.
Although there seemed to be some animosity between Irsay and Manning shortly after Manning signed with the Broncos, the two have definitely buried the hatchet.
