While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Forgive me for sounding angry but I just want to know what the heck John Elway is thinking why can't a defense of player at a position of need with very little dip in favor of keeping guys like Cody Latimer and Jeff heuerman?

Yeah. Really weird to waive a guy when we only have two NT's on the roster. So...now we have no back up to Sylvester Williams?
Long snappers are a dime a dozen. Why didn't he just release Krieter? This makes no logical sense at all. Now, not only do we not have a backup NT, we don't have any bargaining power with Sly for a new contract after this season since he's our ONLY one.
I still believe this but my patience is wearing thin when we release Kilgo and Heuerman...
I don't think Elway will give up early on players he invested a pretty high draft pick on, especially when a player hasn't had a chance to contribute significantly due to injuries.
I wouldn't think of cutting Heuerman quiet yet, but Lattimer wouldve definitely been a cut candidate.

I wouldn't exactly go that far. I believe our long snapper is injured and will be out this game so I see the need to pick one up. FG's especially could be huge in this game. However, I am scratching my head over Kilgo being the move. I know he hasn't seen that much time on the field but that seems to leave our depth very thin at the position. We shall see. Oh I feel the same, however I give Latimer a little bit of leeway since he's a special teams Ace but I would've rather seen then cut him instead of Kilgo!
I guess either they pull peko off the PS or move Winn or Gotsis over to back up to he nose.

Good long snappers aren't, especially good long snappers on entry level contracts.
How many games has Kilgo been active for? If I'm not mistaken he's been inactive for the majority, so why would the Broncos release a player who is routinely in their active 46 when they can drop one of the other 7 who is very likely to pass through waivers and be back on the roster on Monday?
