  • Broncos waived/injured TE A.J. Derby

AJ Derby - TE - Broncos
Broncos waived/injured TE A.J. Derby with a shoulder injury.
Derby had already been ruled out for Week 11 with a shoulder injury, and it is apparently a serious issue. He will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers. Denver promoted TE Austin Traylor from the practice squad in a corresponding move, but Virgil Green should serve as the primary option at tight end.

I don't understand this team anymore. We could have put him on ir but no we cut our only receiving threat at tight end.

Its time to see Heurmann with a starters workload, imo.

        Derby literally dropped his opportunities.

Why are all of our TE's so trash? Is it our TE coach? Virgil green is a ghost, but I get that hes used as more of a blocker. We get 1 reliable tight end and watch our offense just get that much better

I thought Traylor was a bright spot.

We let Julius Thomas walk. He was our best receiving tight end since Shannon Sharpe.
