  • Stadium Temporarily Renamed 'Broncos Stadium at Mile High'

  • #2
I preferred the "Bears Stadium" name of my youth. And then it was changed to Mile High Stadium. And that's how I will refer to it as long as I live, no matter how much the team attempts to complicate or confuse the name.

Has there ever been a petition of some kind to have it "Mile High Stadium Preseted by ______" if not wouldn't now be a good time to do so?

Orange Crush would be perfect for that but I don’t think that would fly too far in fact I believe the idea of “at mile high” is turning companies away.

Maybe the new name should be the permanent name, instead of going for the money grab.
My Opinion isn’t determined by what the Popular Opinion is. Sometimes I agree with the Majority, Sometimes I Don’t. If My Opinion is Different than Yours, I have to Ask One Question:

                I like it.

Maybe if I look under my couch cushions I can get enough coins together and have it present by me.

This whole naming rights issue is stupid. It's a building. Can't we just put a name on it and let it stick until the end of time, without any sponsors or companies logo polluting it? Mile High Stadiium it should be foreever. Or Broncos Stadium. Just stop with this idiotic name calling debate. Is that so hard to ask and get?

No, not hard at all. You just need to be incredibly rich or win the Powerball and spend all your money on buying whatever name you like for it.

Selling this advertising space has become a major revenue stream for teams. The info below is dated 8/2016 but gives a good idea of what these deals are worth:

Too obvious and logical. When you market your brand as "Rocky Mountain Refreshment", slapping your name on the Denver Broncos Stadium would be an obvious move to make. It's not like they're afraid of alienating people from other cities. Patriots fans are all drinking Sam Adams anyway.

Hell, take it a step farther with a spin off slogan featuring John Elway in a commercial. "Cool Under Pressure".

One thing has been clear since the stadium was built...the Broncos franchise has put the fans opinion of what the stadium should be called at the very end of their priority list.

People should make a note and next time tax payers are asked to help pay for a stadium....if the name of the stadium is important to tax payers they should negotiate naming in the law that says tax payers will help pay for it because once the owners get the money they will do the very minimum to make fans happy about the name.

Frankly it is just business and in the grand scheme of things fans should probably just get over it if they trust their team's leadership is using the extra money earned to win games.
Time to build on the win and grow the team from some solid play higher level of play
