How soon we forget that Frank Tripucka was hired by the Denver Broncos in 1960 as a coach. 7676 yards and 51 TDs later he retired as QB of the Broncos in 1963, and would be the only one to lead Denver to a non-losing season in their first thirteen years as a franchise.

The Broncos initial plan was to use one of their coaches at QB, the league said no, it's a roster limit violation.

Are we still not allowed to sign the offensive coach to the roster?

Maybe but Pat didn’t show interest in him in New York. But he does probably know his dad’s system somewhat and more importantly he may force the chiefs to change up some of their terminology since he was there last season. It likely matters very little in the long run.

I did like him as a project coming out of Vanderbilt though
