  • 2005 Draft Competition for CP!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ***IMPORTANT!!!***

Contest has been updated to reflect the trade with Washington!! Scoring will remain the same! Denver traded the #25 pick for Washington's #76 (third round) and their 1st and 4th round selections next year! Please adjust your entries to reflect the new pick order!!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Here's how it works:

Each participant projects what the Broncos' picks will be in the 2005 draft (6 picks total). Points will be assigned for each pick successfully projected in the following manner:

Correct 2nd round pick (#56):..................................12 points.
    Correct 3rd round picks (#76, #97 & #101):..........10 points each.
Correct 6th round pick (#200):.................................8 points.
Correct 7th round pick (#239):.................................8 points.

Correct player but wrong pick:* 5 points.

    * To reward good scouting, any player that you project to be picked by the Broncos with a certain pick that still ends up with the Broncos from a different selection will garner 5 points. This player MUST be drafted; they cannot be acquired as an undrafted FA rookie.

    >>>Added 4/23/05<<<
IF a player you have slated for 2nd day picks is picked on day 1, you MAY NOT change that day 2 slot! You may ONLY change slots for players who have not yet been selected!!

The winner is the participant with the most points at the conclusion of the 2005 NFL draft. Each participant in the contest will reward the winner with a Contributor Point. So, the more participants, the greater the reward! Anyone who participates in the contest but does not award a CP to the winner, will forever be known as a goofball.

Tie Breaker - In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined as follows:

Each participant will include the "tie breaker" selection in thier original post. It will read either "Offense" or "Defense". In the event of a two way tie, the participant with the highest post count of the two will be allowed to keep their "Offense" or "Defense" selection, and the other participant will get the opposite. The final pick in the draft, Mr. Irrelevant, by the New England Patriots at 255, will determine the winner, depending on if the player is offensive or defensive.

If this tiebreaker still does not determine the winner, due to a 3-or-more-way tie, the winner will be the person with the EARLIEST "Last Edited By:" time. In other words, the person who solidified their picks the earliest (had them set the longest) will win.

ALL selections for a particular draft day MUST be finished BEFORE the start of drafting on that day, or you WILL be disqualified!!!!

So make sure that your time settings are correct in your user profiles!! ALSO note that this means that you CAN adjust your day 2 slots on day 1, but remember: this will severely hamper your tie breaking capabilities!!!

    Entries should look like this:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Round 2 (#56) - Seymore Buttz - FS - Auburn
    Round 3 (#76) - I.P. Freeley - WR - Tinkle State
    Round 3 (#97) - Werz DaBeef - DT - Oklahoma Prep
    Round 3 (#101) - Gonaby Abust - CB - Arapahoe Community
Round 6 (#200) - Bud Derfingas - WR - Shady Oaks Retirement College
    Round 7 (#239) - Bea Arthur - QB - Golden State

    Tie Breaker - Offense**

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

**If you DON'T include your tie breaker pick and end up in a 2-way tie, you automatically lose!!

Please save this thread for entries only. Use the 2005 Draft Competition Discussion Thread to chat! Good luck!!

I like my defensive tackles like I like my women: well over 300 lbs.
