  • K. Herndon a nickel back again?

The Seattle Seahawks signed TEN CB Andre Dyson today. 5 yeard 17.5 mill. Didn't Kelly go for playing time as much as anything? I think he's a more natural nickel back in the first place, but this signing seems kind of weird to me. Now they're paying good money for Trufant, Dyson and Herndon.

I don't think that Herndon's or Dyson's salaries are out of whack for a 2nd and third corner. They also play in a division with the Rams and Cardinals who present matchup problems all over the place.

Herndon went for the money and I don't blame him. I think the team felt like Middlebrooks and Walls can be the 2nd and 3rd guys so we already have too many contracts at CB.

it seemed weird to me to at 1st but look at their division....the cards n rams run 3 wide most of the time so you need 3 good DB's...n plus u can never have enough DB's...they've had a good offseason...

weird how because andre dyson is a bit short, he has 3 mil in signing bonus compared to the 10mil+ the taller guys got, but hes a player

Kelly Herndon will be an excellent nickle back. I think that Seattle has improved thier defense with that signing and place Kelly in a place that he is much more likely to succeed.

I wish him the best next year.

Well, Herndon signed because it was better offer. I'm sure he would like to start but I have always doubted would anyway, because he is best suited to being a nickel back.

Money talks, plus that division is all about the passing game, I bet Herndon has a great season at the Nickleback posistion
