  • Discuss Harper's fumble recovery

this thread doesn't really matter...... but what do you think about harper's runback? i think he should have just stayed right and run along the sidelines instead of trying to cut back. IF ben had completely missed the tackle, harper still would have been tackled immediately by the steelers behind him cuz of the pause used to try to juke ben. i think if harper ran along the sideline, it would have been a touchdown. or at least 15 extra yards he could run before he was forced out of bounds

AOL has it a couple of times...

      1: http://sports.aol.com/nfl/top5/sunday
      2: http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/special1/...11184309990006

PS, I only JUST stumbled on AOL's NFL page this week, and I like it a whole lot, lots of video clips, and stuff... nice

On Edit ~ I HATE AOL as an ISP... but this page is pretty good

I definitely agree with u here panda. Besides blaming Vanderjagt for costing the Colts the game, I feel they should also blame Harper for "trying to do too much."
I say this bcoz IMO, he under-estimated Big Ben and thought he'd make him (Big Ben) look silly and juke him out of his shoes. Unfortunately, it was a great play by the QB and I'm sure Harper wanted that one back as soon as he got tackled. If only he went right and ran along the sidelines, it would have been a TD. He already had a couple of escorts running with him, but again, IMO, he tried to do too much.

No complaints here though...I'd rather have the AFCCG in Denver than in that dome...
