  • AZ St. WR Derek Hagan

Ok, Boys and girls, keep your eye on this kid from AZ St at WR.

Bill Williamson is already on record as saying the Broncos will likely seek a WR with one of the two first rounders, and this kid is generally projected in the 20-30 range we will be selecting in.

Arizona St. VS utgers tonight at 6:30 MST.

Ths scouting reports on this kid show some similarities to Hot Rod.

I wouldn't mind this selection, but I'd wait and see what Rod will end up doing. If he comes back, then I'd rather not spend a first round pick on a receiver. I know Rod's gonna be like 62 years old, but he'd still be one of the top 2 receivers. That and the fact that this years wr crop is quite weak...

We have greater needs on the defensive side of the ball...

If anyone has seen Hagan play, he PHYSICALLY resembles Rod Smith, too: long arms, running style, etc. For my $$ though, I prefer Mike Hass (WR Oregon State).

He did okay in the bowl game, but nothing spectacular. One has to wonder if he benefits from the sheer amount of passing weapons ASU has. Looked like a solid guy, but I wonder how he would produce if he was the only good receiver on the team. He did show good leadership in the huddle, which is very promising.

He's kind of a bleh guy. If we draft him with our 2nd 1st round pick, you can't really argue about it, but the guy just doesn't really excite you too much, or at least he doesn't excite me.

But I would not boo the pick.

            Agreed...

He's solid, but definitely not spectacular...
