  • Abraham for no. 22?

why dont we trade our no. 22 pick to the jets for abraham and their second rounder (which is at the top of the second round)? that would give us no. 29 to take a TE like Pope or DL that falls like Kiwi or Watson and still gives us 3 picks in the first two rounds...what do u guys think?

Nah, we might as well trade the 29th pick....we probably would use it on a defensive end anyway, so why not use it to trade for John Abraham.

if we lose the 29 pick straight up we wouldnt be able to get a pick but if we trade the 22 we get a high second rounder in a good class from 30-75

exactly, plus we save money by moving the 22 pick and having lower picks

I would prefer this to shipping out our 29 in exchange for Abraham.

Still plenty of promising players available at the start of the 2nd round.

How about we use that 22 and wait and see if that kid from Penn State is there?

I doubt he will be, but I prefer drafting over FA or trading.

                So...

Your saying that you prefer to draft an unproven, untested (at least at the professional level) rookiee who is actually a huge question mark rather then go after a vet who has proven his worth time and time again?

I would much rather send one of our picks out for someone who can come in and upgrade our front-4 pass rush next season rather then draft a rookiee who will most likely take at least a season or two (if at all, even) to get to the point we need.

I think a veteren FA has as much chance as "busting" as a first round pick

I thinnk the JETs woulud be down right retarded for doing that kind of trade....

Especially THEM havin to include a draft pick, i dont think they would do it straight up......

Why? Because we won't be able to get the next best thing in the NFL... He goes by the name of, Chad Jackson.

Why offer a first round pick? I hope the Broncos are not negotiating with one of the 1st rounders.

He's not the only guy worth drafting this year. You guys are making him sound more like Chad JOHNSON -- not Chad JACKSON. Their names might be close, but that's about as close as it gets
