They need an O-Line before anything else.

I had hoped to have a shot at Darren Howard if we didn't land Abraham..... that may no longer be a possibility.

    From KFFL:

Eagles | Team reportedly agrees to terms with Howard
    Sun, 12 Mar 2006 22:01:34 -0800

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports a source said the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to the terms of a six-year contract with free agent DE Darren Howard (Saints). No financial terms were disclosed. Gary Wichard, the agent for Howard, would not confirm the agreement but said he was working on a deal with the team.

true-- and how much you wanna bet they end up with ol' kerry collins and boller next year? be fine with me if they do! if the "offensive genius" could have trotted out an even halfway decent O, they could have been a dominant squad for years. . .

maybe they just want to be cool like us! silly ravens, you can't be the broncos just because you sign some of our old players. . .

Mike Anderson will join fellow recently cut Bronco Trevor Pryce in Baltimore.
Anderson agreed to a four-year contract, with a $2 million signing bonus, Sunday night. Saturday, Pryce, a defensive end, agreed to a five-year, $25 million deal, including a $10 million bonus, with the Ravens.

Both players, along with tight end Jeb Putzier, were cut by Denver March 1.

Saints are probably holding out for Leinhart. Brees to the Fins, Culp to Raiders, and Young to the Jets?

I heard on NFL Network that the Saints might take Jay Cutler.
Brees, Leinart, Young, and Cutler are all possibilities for them.
It will be interesting to see how this offseason plays out.

Come on, with his 6 wonderlic, he'd be the smartest guy there. Smarter than Al!

But he might go to Tennessee, with McNair to back him up. Or the Cards will work out a deal with Houston to get him or Leinhart, now that they have The Edge!

Brees to meet Dolphins; leaves Saints without deal

NEW ORLEANS -- Drew Brees visited with the New Orleans Saints Sunday, but left town without a deal.

Brees, a free agent, is being pursued by the Saints as a replacement for Aaron Brooks. He left Sunday to meet with the Miami Dolphins in Birmingham, Ala., where he has been rehabilitating his surgically repaired right shoulder. He went 20-11 the past two seasons for San Diego, but when contract talks with the Chargers stalled, they agreed to let him test the market.

Brees said New Orleans' rebuilding from Katrina would not dissuade him from coming here. He said he helped build programs in Purdue and at San Diego that had been down and that the challenge of rebuilding in New Orleans appealed to him.

"I think being a part of that would be a great opportunity," he said.

As far as his shoulder is concerned, Brees said he has about another four or five months of recovery and doesn't anticipate any long-term effects. Brees tore the labrum and damaged the rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder in the Chargers' final game last season and underwent surgery Jan. 5.
