Andre Carter or John Abraham?

Abraham is a much player then Carter. Bite the bullet, trade the pick, and enjoy the results.

I agree. Abraham picked up 10 sacks last year on a bad Jets team that was always playing from behind.

Opponents seem to love throwing the ball against us, Abraham will have many more oppurtunities to go after the passer here.

Bring him in, let him record 12+ sacks and enjoy.

I say trade for Abraham. Use 22 on a DT or a TE.

I say we get Carter and keep our picks. This years draft class is so good we need all the picks we can get. Especially when we have other needs in WR, TE, DT, S and OL.

Here is the biggest problem with signing Carter.

We have already commited long term and decent money to Courtney brown on the other side. So we probably wouldn't be drafting a DE with either of the 1st round picks and we would be stuck with two guys that are decent against the run and will pick up 6-8 sacks a year. Neither really requires a double team and we have to blitz to get pressure.

I don't view Carter as an option. I think it is either Abraham for pick 29 (or second rounder and a player, since other teams seem to be offering a second rounder) or draft someone like Lawson or Wimbley in round 1. We have to get better pressure on the QB and I don't like the Brown Carter long term scenario.

Carter not bad. Good speed and can drop into Cover..With Warren demending a double team, either Carter or BRown will be 1on1.. and i think they both can make a move. He is cheaper keeps both are 1st round picks, and maybe gives us more money to go After a guy Like T.O... I still think adding a guy like Carter to are D-Line is an improvment...Yes i do belive Aberham would be a bigger improvment because he nees a double team to!!! but if you can improve are D-line with Carter and with a draft pick and be able to Sign T.O... I dont see anything wrong with that, that way you Improve both Off and Def.. I think its a great move when u like at the Hole picture!!!

He is better than anybody in FA or in the draft. So why not give up a draft pick.

Abraham is a unquestioned force. I say we take him and avoid any gambling. He will post 10 sacks at least for us.
