Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Lewis will put up career numbers with the broncos, atleast in touchdowns. If we sign him I think he will go for about 1600 yards and probably 16 touchdowns. The only reason it won't be higher is because bell will go for about 700 yards himself. Dayne will stay in the role he's in now but he's a great insurance policy. I couldn't think of a better 3rd running back in the league. Our running game will continue to be dominant but will improve in the redzone and short yardage.
This will make it easier for us in the draft. Depending on the Abraham stuff, we could pick up a DE and a WR in the first round. We're looking good as a team if the pieces fall right.
Trust me, this is not a bad move for the broncos to make.
It is funny though, how everybody is on the Ron Dayne bandwagon after everyone thought he was a bust, but a guy that has had a 2000 yard season now supposedly "sucks". I know it comes back down to production forthe dollar but the front office won't pay out their ears for Lewis anyway. If he's asking too much he won't be here. But just wait and see guys. It'll work out.

i agree with you for the most part except the Dayne being where he is at and Bell getting 700 yards.....we spent money on Dayne and he would be the second RB if we signed Lewis and he would be the one to get the 700 yards....if we sign Lewis more then likely Bell will be traded, as well as the 29th draft pick in the frist round, to the jets for Abraham

I say grab T.O and while we are at it why not grab your-self a biscuit!?
My NFL 2005 Regualar Season Predictions Results: 158-100 or 63%
Jamal Lewis was a cancer the last few seasons in Baltimore. I'd rather let Shanahan have his pick of any running back in first three rounds.
I still come back to the fact that this would be a waste of money. Why would you re-sign Dayne if you were also going to sign Lewis? We already have Bell and a ton of draft picks.
i like jamal and i think hes a beast. i mean how many backs in the last decade have put up 2000 a yard season. well not to many and does any1 watch the way he just plows people over. i think he would be a perfect fit for our offense
