    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I left out Ashley Lelie on the assumption that he will in fact be traded before the season starts. I gave Hixon a spot because of his return ability.

I stayed with only two QB's because Shanahan has done it before, but now he has a first round pick as the no. 2 so it's an even easier decision.

At RB, I'm guessing that Cobbs will win the battle for the third spot.

At FB, I gave Cecil Sapp's role to Powers-Neal. He could easily become a legit goalline/short yardage back in his first season IMO.

I left Leach off the roster based on Scheffler's long-snapping experience. If that doesn't turn out in camp, then I could see a receiver being cut to make room for Leach.

OL is somewhat "run of the mill." I gave a spot to Eslinger because of his experience, his versatility, and the fact that teams like Houston and Atlanta could use a young center (may have a hard time getting him to the PS).

6 DE's may be a bit too many, but I don't see the team cutting Dumervil. Corey Jackson is probably the one on the outside now...

4 DT's is normal, with a battle for the 4th spot.

LB's...we know who's going to make the roster.

    CB's...ditto.

S is set, with guys like Brandon Browner and Hamza Adbullah fighting it out in camp.

    K/P...bleh.

I've got a major hard-on for this guy...I hope he makes the roster or the practice squad.

Well, wasn't Cecil Sapp on the roster all of last year too? Rashon would be great in Cecil's role as a backup FB/RB/H-back/Special teamer.

From watching a number of games from the past few seasons, I would say that Powers-Neal and possibly Cedric Cobbs are far and away our best short yardage options.

So Dayne, Tatum, and Powers-Neal... Kind of like the Eagles 3 headed monster a few years back?

Beautiful... We should run the wishbone

              Haha...nice.

I'm hoping that Powers-Neal does in fact get a chance to play and prove himself. I haven't watched extensive amounts of tape, but from the times I have seen him play I feel confident making my previous statement.

He's not going to make too many people miss, but when the scheme calls for a one-cut running style you shouldn't be dancing behind the LOS. He runs HARD. He looks like a semi-truck going through a Geo dealership when he gets into the secondary. Good pickup IMO...I'm definitely excited.

Posted earlier by me, but I wanted to compare to yours

                  QB Jake, Cutler, BVP

                  RB Dayne, Bell, Cobb
                  FB Kyle J, Sapp

Wr Rod, Walker, Terrell, Watts, Marshall, Hixon( this is assuming Lelie is gone)

                  TE Duke, Sheffler, Alexander, Leach

OL Lepsis, Hamilton, Nalen, Carlisle, Foster, Myers, Pears, Carswell

DE Brown, Lang, Ekuban, Jackson, Dumervil

DT Warren, Veal, Myers, Gordon, Burton

LB Gold, Wilson, DJ, Burns, Wells, Chukwarah

CB Champ, D. Williams, Foxy, Paymah, Rogers

                  S Lynch, Ferguson, Browner, Brandon

                  P/K Elam, Sauerbrun

PS Eslinger, Kuper, Mike Bell, Powers-Neal, Vaughn, Everett

This would mean cuts including Devoe, Adams, Roc Alexander, PJ Alexander, Louis Green, Chris Young, Curome Cox, John Engleberger, Nate Jackson. I know I can't have guessed right on all the keepers, probably missed many, but either way its pretty obvious that there are going to be some guys that many fans like that are going to be cut.

This is closest to my prediction BUT, take Corey Jackson/Engelberger out and put in BVP at QB. Thank Curome Cox out and put in Brandon Browner. Take Chris Cuper out and put in Powers-Neal at FB. Other than that, LOOKS GOOD!!!

Powers-Neal actually was a tailback his first 2 years at ND. He had a couple 100 yard games back then, even when sharing carries with Ryan Grant. And he's fantastic in goal line situations. That man can get in the end zone.

I'm really glad he's getting a chance with a good team. I'll have to start following the Broncos now.

I do not think we would be able keep Kuper from being picked up from PS. I like Browner over Cox. Would like to see Ernster kick off, as Sauerbrun was very avg. I think Cameron Vaughn was a very good pick up. Can play ST and learn behind big Al.
