    • I think this talk of being too small should end.
Hasn't there been enough to 'make it' to quell the talk?

I don't think Q hurt the argument any, in his short stay.

Other than being played incorrectly, he busted out some great games.....amongst the giants of the Dlines.........

It all comes down to heart, devotion, skill and the unwavering desire to succeed in something they've come to love.....playing football.

All you really have to do is look at one of the smallest qb's in the history of the league......FLUTIE! He may not have rocked the world with stats, but he showed himself to be more of a giant than some players that towered over him.

Even most Raider fans know how to read.

I seriously hope that you are just pretending to be this ignorant!
        Im doing no such thing....

Im clearing up your sentance for those that dont understand random words thrown together in any order.

I dont get how saying someone is better IN Denver than someone else IN KC means but you say it like you want it i will keep clearing your posts up

RCS, football also include physical nature, and Dumerville may have the talent but size really does mean something at DL in the NFL. No one doubts his talent, its hihs ability to beat some big O linemen that will hurt him against many OT's.

        • First of all, is it just me, or is it a tad strange that a chiefs fan would choose to spend time with bronco fans rather than fellow chefs. one might wonder if it is a sign of jealousy. not to say that he's a bad guy or anything, i am just wondering why you choose to message on the broncomania boards. sorry if you have already answered this question millions of times.
secondly, elvis is small, we can all agree. but so what? history has shown us time and time again that smaller players, who are 'football players' and play with heart and desire can reach pro-bowl levels in the NFL. Sam Mills, Flutie, Portis, Bruschi, Nalen, S. Moss, S. Smith, etc. etc...........
the point is, that elvis COULD turn out to be a pro-bowl talent in a pint-sized body. oh well. i could live with that (not too shabby to draft robert mathis in the 4th..) he just may possess the heart that stands the test of time, or he very well may not. either way, it was well worth the paltry cost of a fourth rounder. Here's to elvis playing outside and inside and backside and any othyer way that coyer can line him up. if he put on some black eye-liner and about 20 lbs., he might even turn into the bronco version of John Randle....

Ya i have answered it a million times but i will again
I like this forum more than any other one, and i enjoy the constant smack i get for a post about anything in any forum.

Small players may be good at some positions but OL and DL have alot to do with size. Nalen may be sorta small but he isnt Dumerville size, i dont see Dumerville ever being a all around DE maybe a pass rush specialist, and very good at it, but he isnt great when big O line men get up on him.

I guess Tamba Hali will have to show us why he was a first round pick.

You act like Cutler is a bad pick... Hali in the first round?! Dumervil has just as much potential as him.

No he doesn't. Tamba Hali has better size (6'3", 270), is faster, and is more athletic. Hali also produced against better competition.

It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

I was hoping we would draft Hali....................In the 2nd round though. It's not that he won't be a good player. But he was drafted too high.

Hali is not a naturally instinctive football player and while some of this can be attributed to his lack of football experience, it is impossible to predict how his instincts will improve with experience. He does not explode off the ball, and while he has the playing speed to beat many offensive tackles around the corner, he will struggle to consistently do that in the NFL without bursting off the ball. He does not attack the blocker/play consistently and is not as effective when he doesn't. He tends to play upright and looks a little robotic at times when he does not bend his knees.
                    More athletic?

As far as comparing the two.....we're talking about 3 rounds separating them....almost 100 players.
That's like saying MBell is as good as Bush.

Tamba will be PAID more to produce....so he BETTER be able to outproduce Elvis.
Guess we'll see......as Denver could have stolen Elvis......or not.

Actually, I will save you the trouble of looking back. I said that I thought that Myers was a little better than Dalton. I NEVER said he was better due to where he played. I don't care if Myers was still in Dallas and Dalton was still in Denver. I always thought that Myers was better than Dalton.

You can't say he is more athletic, did Hali lead the nation in sacks? Just because he has a size advantage doesn't mean squat. Untill they prove what they can do on the football field nobody should be saying that somone is better than the next guy.

So if Dalton doesnt need more talent to be as good as Myers, why are you so happy he plays for KC and not Denver, if not for the fact that you think Myers is better and has a bettere attitude cause he is in Denver.......

Again, he is not better and does not have a better attitude because he plays for Denver. IMO he is just better.
