Funny thing is I thought it was accepted as fact now that this guy is trash. He can't play and after we traded him for a decent d-lineman he was cut by the 49ers before the season started. Oh well, as long as he doesn't take the position of someone (like BVP, it might be nice to have three QBs this year) then I suppose it's cool.

At the very least If Middlebrooks makes the team he will be a good special teams player.

He was very solid in that role the last few years he was with Denver.

And who knows maybe the light comes on and he can be a good backup Safety.Not likely but hey stranger stuff has happened.

Special Teams

Maybe he's finally completely healthy. But even still he was a nice special teams player - better than Roc. He's also a better corner than Roc and Paymah. I think he's got a shot to beat out one of those guys. He's no Champ but he can certainly be a sixth corner.

Well since we signed him, I hope he makes a huge positive contribution to the team.

i like this move. He showed some of that potential in the preseason before he got traded for Engleberger.

Without anymore pressure on him, maybe he can make the team and give us some veteran depth behind those youngin CBs.

He can play Corner, Safety and Special teams. We need guys that can play mulitple positions, like Carswell and Curome Cox. I could see him taking Roc Alexander's roster spot. Doubtful we would let a promising Karl Paymah go over Middlebrooks.

I think he's nothing more than a special teams player...but he did a decent job of that while here. I also thought he was starting to prove himself as a decent nickle back his last season here. Not exactly big new...but news.

When he was healthy he played pretty well. Don't get caught up with what some members that have no clue about Corners have to say. He could very well be our Dimeback. His competition is Cox, Paymah and Alexander. We traded him for Engelberger, he wasn't just cut.
