Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

They would all do well on our D Line as we need help there. I doubt we could get Gaines Adams as he might go in the top 10. I'd love Pitcock or Abiamiri, lets hope the Broncs take one of them.
Is Bowman comming out or is everyone declared on that list? He has an extra year of elligability at Nebraska, and I have always heard that he was comming back since he was injured all of this year. I really want him back at NE so we don't have to get beat by every receiver as we did this year.

Strengths: Possesses an outstanding combination of size and speed. Continues to improve his recognition skills with more experience. Is a player with a lot of upside if he continues to develop. He has a strong upper body and shows the power to take receivers out of their routes when using proper press-coverage technique. He is aggressive when the ball is in the air and displays above average ball skills. Is able to match up versus bigger receivers on an island. Shows good leaping ability and times his jumps well. He fills hard versus the run and shows enough size and strength to take on bigger blockers/ball carriers. Also displays great upside on special teams, especially covering kicks and punts. He has been durable throughout his career.
Weaknesses: Lacks ideal playing experience. Still has room to improve in terms of footwork and technique. He gets crossed over by quicker wide receivers on double moves. He also will open his hips too early at times. He is a bit stiff in the hips and will struggle to match up on an island versus quicker receivers in the NFL. He gives a good effort in run support but he must improve his tackling skills, especially in space.
Overall: Bowman played two seasons (2003, 2004) at New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, N.M.), where he recorded over 90 total tackles, 10 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 22 pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles earning JuCo All-American honors. In 2005 at Nebraska, he played in 11 games (started the final five) and finished with 27 total tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass breakups. Bowman also served as a gunner on the punt team in 2005.
Bowman is still somewhat of an enigma having only played one season at the DI-A level prior to his senior year. He obviously possesses an excellent combination of size and speed. From what we've seen in limited film views thus far, Bowman has the aggressiveness and ball skills to make an impact in the NFL. He is also a proven commodity on special teams, which should increase his value as a potential first-day draft pick in 2007.

Strengths: Possesses adequate-to-good height, decent bulk but room on his frame to get bigger. Very agile for the position. Displays explosive first-step quickness and good top-end speed as an edge rusher. Displays very good instincts and awareness when rushing the passer. Has long arms, times his jumps well and does a great job of batting down passes at the line of scrimmage. He also has shown good fluidity when occasionally asked to drop in coverage on zone blitzes. Plays with good discipline versus the run and does a fine job of leveraging the backside. He gets upfield quickly and can be disruptive in the backfield versus the run. Also shows very good change-of-direction skills in space, which allows him to redirect and pursue as a run defender. He is a reliable tackler in space and also will make some plays when pursuing ball carriers from behind. He is a hard worker with solid all-around intangibles.
Weaknesses: Lacks ideal bulk and lower body strength. He needs to be more aggressive as a run defender at times. He absorbs too many blocks and doesn't do a consistent enough job of disengaging once reached. Needs to play with more consistent leverage versus the run. Has a tendency to come out of his stance too high and will allow linemen to get into his pads too frequently.
Overall: Adams was redshirted in 2002. He saw action in 12 games as a backup defensive end for the 2003 season, registering 15 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and one sack. Adams played in all 11 contests with just one start (Texas A&M) in 2004 but did win Clemson's defensive 12th man award after recording 35 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, and two blocked punts. In 2005, he took over as the starting "bandit" DE and made 56 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, 29 quarterback pressures, and three forced fumbles.
Adams was seriously considering taking the NFL plunge but he was getting mixed signals regarding his draft value in 2006. Instead of risking disappointment, Adams made the wise decision to return to Clemson for his final season of eligibility. If he picks up where he left off during the second-half of 2005 (16 QB pressures in the Tigers' final six games), Adams should solidify a spot in the first round of the 2007 draft.

Strengths: Has good upper body strength, plays with a mean streak and flashes the ability to shed blocks quickly. Plays with good leverage and is quick enough to beat blockers to the point of attack. Possesses good lower body strength and is capable of holding ground when plays with sound technique. Shows good lateral mobility and does a good job of scraping down the line of scrimmage. Plays with a non-stop motor and takes good pursuit angles. Wraps up upon contact and is a reliable open field tackler. Shows adequate athletic ability and flashes an effective spin move. Keeps legs driving after making contact and flashes the ability to collapse the pocket. Possesses excellent leaping ability, times jumps well and generally does a good job of getting hands up when isn't going to get to the quarterback.
Weaknesses: Lacks ideal bulk and is vulnerable to wearing down when teams consistently run at him. Doesn't always read keys well and at times has problems locating the ball carrier. Guesses too much and needs to play with better gap discipline. Doesn't always plays with a great base and occasionally loses balance. Lacks ideal range and doesn't show great closing speed. Doesn't have elite explosiveness and is a better run defender than pass rusher at this point.
Overall: Pitcock was redshirted in 2002 and then played in all 13 games in 2003 (one start at defensive end; Northwestern) recording 17 total tackles, five tackles-for-loss, and three sacks. He started all 12 games in 2004 and finished the season with 49 total tackles, 7.5 tackles-for-loss, two sacks, and one interception. In 2005, Pitcock again started all 12 games and made 28 total tackles, three tackles-for-loss, one sack, one fumble recovery, and blocked one kick.
Pitcock is somewhat inconsistent and he lacks ideal range. However, he is a disciplined and stout run defender that also displays enough athletic ability to develop an arsenal of pass rush moves as an every-down defensive tackle in the NFL. In our opinion, Pitcock has the potential to emerge as one of the top defensive tackles in the 2007 class.
