Why is everybody in love with Ernster? He punts in the most friendly air in the game and is rated #28 in gross yardage. He is pathetic, inconsistant and needs to go. (but hey, he might get better next year, lol)

1. He is amazing at kickoffs.
2. He is ranked #22 at net punting, not where you want him to be, but not horrible
3. I already showed why he was chosen over Sauerbrun, pretty easy to see too.
4. Rookies tend to struggle getting adjusted.

Dustin Colquitt. NFLs best punter this year with 39.9 net avg.

Matt McBriar. Has a 38.6 net avg this year.

Kyle Larson. Has a 38.6 net avg this year.

Paul Ernster. Did not record a punt in 2005. In 2006: net avg: 36.6

So yes, people expect him to do better. PUNTERS DONT SUCCEED THEIR FIRST YEAR.

I would love to have Mason, but, there is no roster spot available for another kicker. Especially one that we would have to pay secound or early third round money for.

If he was but a year younger, maybe Elam retires next season. But, with Elam coming of a great year, there is no sense in drafting a kicker that high.

Of course, its how good we SHOULD be, can't admit that we have one of the best Kickoff men in the NFL.

So yea, lets blow a 2nd rounder on Crosby to replace a great kickoff man and a potential HoF kicker in Elam.....

I mean, the Broncos don't need anything else, like a pass rush, or RB, or run stuffer, or safety, or OL.........
