As in ...another weapon? Some of you guys apparently disagree [not directed at you, WA] , but I just don't see how a team can have too many weapons. Consider the Colts of the last few years; or the Rams when they were the Greatest Show On Turf; or the Cowboys with Aikman; or the '98 Broncos.

...What's one more reliable relief valve for Cutler to have? If a team has an opportunity to make such an upgrade, I think they should. True, we may have some other, more pressing needs on the team right now. But if Leonard's still on the board in, say, the 2nd, I'm convinced we should grab him.

    They're your teammates, now.
    Best of luck, TT!

sbutk: i can see why Denver is taking TO's right now [trailing by 7, with 30 seconds left in the half]. but why Oakland???

Captain Lori: You are trying to figure out the Raiders. Try figuring out women instead; it's probably much easier.

The problem is that Leonard is not going to help us fix our defense. We've lost for years now due to our defense, and specifically, our defensive line. Generally, to get the difference makers at that area, you have to spend your first day picks, especially a 2nd round pick on such a player.

Also, I'm not sure I see what Leonard brings. He's a pass catching FB with running skills, but he's not exceptionally fast and he's not a great blocker. So, you would have to use him at RB in our scheme, but I haven't seen anything to suggest he's a cutback style runner.

A player is only a weapon if his skillset fits the style of play the team uses.

I agree and that is why you see so often players that dont fit a new scheme but had been so successful move to a new team and struggle. Like CP his first year in D.C they tried to make him into the Gibbs runner of the past... which wasnt CP...

I am not sure where I stand on Leonard, I think if we picked up a DL in the first, he wouldnt be a bad choice if we were willing to use him as more than just a FB (not saying to change the whole offense, but a good team will change it up a lil bit to fit their players strengths) then I think we may be successfull with him. He isn't a terrible blocker, but he isn't a grind it out player either... Just my two cents, again I donno where I stand on this, I wouldn't mind if we got him and worked him into our O but if we don't I wont cry or anything either....
