If we pick up another player in the form of Clinton Portis especially his speed and he had decent size, i think we would be pretty hard to beat even if we didnt pick up anybody in the draft or free agency. All i want this offseason is another runningback in the form of Clinton Portis. We would make a very deep playoff run and the next season possibly the Super Bowl and contending for it throughout. Thoughts

That would be great but the only players I see are Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson with CP like attributes. There are some that would make great fits here like Pitmann (penn st), Irons (auburn), and Bookers (FSU). And Yes having a great back will definetly help us make a huge push in the playoff run.

Sorry, had to point it out. I would love a franchise back, it has been missing

With that said, I think the Bears will go with Griese or a FA next year, overlooking the contributions of Orton.
OK, I know that was a bit :offtopic: , but I needed to vent. Back on topic, I doubt the trade happens. As everyone else has pointed out, Thomas is the dominant ack in Chicago, and way to valuable to them at this point.Last edited by PurdueBronc; 02-05-2007, 12:28 PM.
