No, Im not really excited about 2008 when we're still in 2007 but with all this talk of getting a RB and which RB...and whether or not Denver should get a RB, Im kind of curious to know what will be there next year if Denver were to give Bell & Bell another shot? Will Jamaal Charles be ther in 2008?

Next year is considered to be one of the best rb drafts in recent memory when the following players are draft eligible
Darren Mcfadden- Arkansas
Felix Jones- Arkansas
Branden Ore- Virginia Tech
Chauncey Washington- USC
James Davis- Clemson
Mike Hart- Michigan
Jamaal Charles- Texas
Ian Johnson- Boise State
Ray Rice- Rutgers
Yvenson Bernard- Boise State
Steve Slaton- West Virginia
Ryan Torrain- Arizona State
Tyrell Sutton- Northwestern
Jonathan Stewart- Oregon
Marlon Lucky- Nebraska
Albert Young- Iowa.
Whew. Anybody else I'm missing? There's a hell of a lot of 1st and 2nd round talent in there

I think McFadden will be the best RB in the draft next year IMO. I think he wil be a top 5, maybe a top 10 pick. I sure hope the Broncos are not in a position to draft him next year if I am right.sigpic

I just don't see the improvement over this year's class. McFadden is all-world and will probably win the Heisman this year barring injury, but the only other guy on that list that even interests me is Ray Rice. A lot of guys seem to be high on Slayton, but if I remember correctly, his QB (I forget his name) ran for more yards than he did in their option offense. I'm also not excited at all by Mike Hart.

Next years class blows this years out of the water. Even the juniors who came out this year are average, and most juniors only come out if they're world-class. That in in itself speaks volumes of how bad this is. I mean, we're talking about Chris Henry, a guy who hasn't even broke 1,500 college yards rushing as a first-day pick because of his athleticism. Seriously.

Antone Smith from FSU will be a junior and may declare. Unlike Booker and Washington, he runs with power but at the same time, still has that adequate breakaway speed. He's a different animal from the backs the Noles usually feature in that he is a big bruiser type. He's like a faster Greg Jones.Last edited by tommy1986; 02-25-2007, 08:39 PM.
