It's poker-face time. Shanahan has also been quoted as saying Jake will remain a Bronco this season. Watch this space. Carr will be traded and Houston will make an offer for Jake. Whether Shanahan accepts that offer given the cap consequences is another matter altogether.

just remember this is a deal being hatched betweem Mike Shannahan and Gary Kubiac. All the principals in this deal arre good friends who know how to keep things close to their chests.

I could be wrong... but this sounds like postering on their part. I heard they wanted at least a 3rd rounder for Carr... They are probably calling someone''s bluff... smoking 'em out. Again Getting rid of plummer or trade will not change our cap room much at all.

releasing him actually gives us more space than the trade I believe. But not much difference

Assuming the story isn't a smoke screen by the Texans, we can now expect Plummer to be declared a June 1 cut. The other team(Jacksonville) that was rumored to have interest in Jake, has already said that Leftwich will be their starter. It's highly unlikely that there is another team that would even entertain the idea of making Jake their starter.
