Oh, and Alan Branch is falling on most boards.
Mel Kiper has him at like 24 on his big board or something.
Haha yeah, I was gonna say that they haven't had one within recent memory, but I don't follow the Chiefs that much to know!

I think this mock is probably right.

As for Al Davis, we know he has rocks in his head. So, he'll pass on his biggest need -- a franchise QB -- and take Calvin Johnson.

Of course, it might be thought that a team that had Randy Moss and Joey Porter wouldn't NEED a WR, but getting them to play for you is another story.

But, if Oakland can't find a trade for Randy Moss (and right now nobody is going to take his $11 million salary) then they CAN'T take Johnson. That would be WAY too much salary at WR. The team needs OL. They need a franchise QB. They could use another RB. Their defense is generally decent, but Warren Sapp isn't getting any younger, so they could use some replacement linemen.

If Davis had any brains, he'd trade down and grab Quinn about #5 or #6 and pick up some early round picks, to address other needs, especially at OL. But, he doesn't so, it's either JaMarcus Russell or Johnson.

Hard to believe even Al is that dumb, but he's proven it before.

If he was smart he wouldn't pick Quinn thats for sure. Russell is an ideal fit for them WAY more than Brady Quinn. Russell is more mobile (which they need with their OLine) and has the bigger arm to make best use of thier two great WR's. Quinn would probably hate being a Raider as well.

If he was smart I think he should sit down with his new coaching staff and his franchise players like Moss, Porter, Sapp, Huff and whoever else is important on his roster and see what direction they would like to go in. When everyone is on the same page they become willing to work together. Unfortunately it's not his senile brain that is preventing them from moving forward, it is his monster EGO!

Falcons pick made me chuckle some what. You could have 5 all pro linemen starting for Atlanta. OL can't help make Vick a better passer and can't help the WR learn how to catch. If Petrino goes that route, tells me it's Vicks last year in a Falcons uni and he will get Brohm in next years draft....

The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

they have a ton of needs... but if Moss is traded, and we know that they were having problems with porter..... then you have a GM that loves to go Downfield, throw in the fact that this particular WR, in the draft, is a dynamite athlete, its hard to pass him up. There are few positions that can actually justify that kind of money.

sit down and take the advice of guys like Sapp (who is on his last legs in the NFL), Moss (who is a malcontent and will likely be traded0, Porter (who demanded to be traded last year).... that doesn't exactly sound like the committee I would want to sit in on and ask THEIR opinion on MY multi-million dollar corporation. Considering these guys will be lucky if they could actually express an intelligent thought.

I have just one question for the draft gurus here. Is there any other DE that would just as solid a pick as Johnson as the 21st spot.
