  • Trade Idea!!

Hey what if we traded #21 and our early #3rd to the Bears for their #31 and #37! The Bears have also been looking to trade up so this actually a possibility.

Think about it staying at #21 would mean we draft someone like CJ, Spencer or Moss. CJ or Spencer will be there at 31 and I like Spencer a lot and think he will be there(and that is very likely) Spencer would be a great DE and rusher for us.

Then once we get to 37 we could draft someone like Merriweather to fill our safety void.

The second 2nd rounder would be to get Quentin Moses

The third rounder would be for Marcus Thomas since Shannahan takes risks on questionable character people. (Marcus Thomas is seen as 1st round TALENT)

Think about a draft with: Spencer, Merriweather, Moses, Marcus Thomas. I would be VERY pleased and Im sure most of you would too.

B-Marsh owning Al Harris(Aka: the supposed most physical corner in the league)

    Mock Draft:

    **If Ellis/Dorsey fall**

    1) Dorsey or Ellis(whoever falls)
    2) Devin Thomas
    4) Frank Okam
    4) Beau Bell

    **If Ellis/Dorsey dont fall**

    1) Desean Jackson
    2) Pat Sims or Trevor Laws(whoever falls)
    4) Frank Okam
    4) Beau Bell

Character matters. Just look at the Bengals. Very talented team, but they underachieve and get arrested all the time.

I kind of like where we are.

I think it matters too, but Shannahan has a history of giving "bad" character people 2nd chances

We would need to put in our late second and our first to make it work if you look at the draft chart. But I agree trading down. I started a thread earlier about trading down. ook there and give your ideas on all kinds of options.

I'd rather keep our first. Package one of our 3rds with our second and move up

finally someone said it! im tired of all this "lets trade bly and all of our other picks to move up to 6" talk. hasnt anyone ever heard of not putting all your eggs in one basket. we have 4 defensive lineman who were 1st round picks and look how that turned out. id love to get moss and merriweather. great thread!

Man I would rather not give up that many picks. If Bly our 1st and one of our 3rds could it I would have a problem with it.

It's been reported that Shanahan want's one or two impact players. If that's true, you don't accomplish that by trading down. Assuming that one or two impact players is the actual goal, it would make more sense to give up most of our picks and a player to move up into the top ten.

if we could trade down and get spencer and merriweather that would make this a great draft no matter what else happens they could both come in and have huge impacts right away and give us a top defense in a couple years

#31 and #37 are WAY better value picks for our needs than #21 and #57 or whatever we have and with that deal we could land a premier coverage safety like Merriwether or Griffin (i'm still up in the air), #37 could be an offense pick (either OT or WR) or stockpile another Dlinemen. As far as it goes for character with Merriwetherr and moss both play wih desire for sure.
