you only get comp picks if you lose more FA's than you sign, and according to the formula which is rather vague, it all depends on the FA's lost, and their contract (if it was a fat one) and if the FA's see alot of starting time.

We may get a something for Cooper but that is all.

Al Wilson was CUT, so was Plummer. They don't count! Only FAs whose contracts expire and are signed by other teams count. I doubt we get anything for Carlisle or Myers either next year.

We got nothing this year for Trevor Pryce because he was cut, even though he was a starter and got 13 sacks for the Ravens!

That is wrong. You do not get compensation for players that are released. You are correct that to receive compensatory picks you must lose more free agents than you sign.
