What's the difference if we sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal and trade or cut Kenard Lang. The two of them are basically the same age.

I say we cut/trade Lang or Ekuban and sign Rice to a one year deal. He is an experienced, pro bowl caliber DE who can definitely upgrade our D-line if he's healthy. Plus think how good it would be to have him mentoring Crowder and Moss I say we do it.

        That is just WEIRD!

he wont be able to participate in TC. which might be a good thing if the broncos were to sign him. But i highly dont think we will. He will want some dough. There was something between the broncos and him a couple years ago that was a tad bit sour.

But all that said i wouldnt mind seeing him opposite Jarvis Moss.

I dont know about u guys but I would LOVE to have Simeon RIce. This would make the bronco snatching of quality Tampa Bay Bucs players complete. I.E. Lynch, Gold, Burns. I'm only saying this because my friend is a bucs fan and that there is a weird relationship between the broncos and the bucs. Kyle Shanahan is the real Shannys son and he used to work for the bucs and is best friends with Chris Simms. BTW, Simms has Kyle's name tattooed on him.
          Complete!?
Umm theyre BEST player (Brooks) is still in Tampa..there next best player (Sapp) is in Oaktown...baby
You got they're 3rd best player
They're 4th (Barber) is still there...and Rice just got cut.

I'd love him here. He's only one season removed from a 14 sack, 1 INT, 6 forced fumbles year. He's obviously a great pass rusher and at 268 pounds could hold up against the run pretty well.

He's also been in League 12 years and is about 33 years old.

Well, the article also said the Bucs could see him being back with them later on......

....just as wilson could be, if his neck injury is cleared by docs.

Gold/Burns? They were Broncos players before they were bucs....and only a year each, at that.

Chris Simms and Kyle Shanahan became such good friends at the University of Texas that they have their initials tattooed on each other's lower leg.

in all fainess al was released due to injury. yes he had a big hit to our cap. but i felt he would have been in denver with out the injury(i could be wrong).

Rice had a injury that would have made him sit out a couple weeks. i feel his situation was more money then injury.

It was also noted that he wanted a reworked deal that paid him. everything i read on him made it sound a bit bitter to the Buc org.

I heard a reporter say that Rice told him that he should be ready in 2 or 3 weeks, and that he was shocked he got cut.

If Rice can stay healthy he could have a big year for somebody, kind of like Trevor Pryce last year. I think we should sign Rice, but I doubt we can afford it.

More than anything I really think we are set at defensive end.

I think Rice is better than any of our present starters now so he would be an upgrade.
