Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Right a guy that failed his physical. No I don't think so.
yeah.. but from everything that was said out of NY... they can't figure out what kind of physical they could have given that he would have failed. So I think this is just an excuse they are using (TB) to cut the guy loose. Maybe saves them a roster bonus. But I don't think its really because he's unable to play.
Other than that, from what they were saying on ESPN, over the last 4-5 years, Simeon Rice has been the most dominating DE in the league.. over Strahan anyway for sure. So its not like this guy cant play football.
Would I like him here? Sure, he would be an upgrade. But at what expense? Who would you cut to make room for him? I always like to see an upgrade of talent at any position if its possible and feasible.
Right now, I'm more concerned with OL, WR, and SLB.
NFL Network mentioned something about the teams he was visting I just remember what teams he will be seeing.
The Rams are the latest to be mentioned....As a pass rush specialist only! The Titans, Redskins (Of course) and Seahawks, too.
That's all he'd be in Denver, imo, a pass rush specialist. But he'd still be nice to have around.
I don't disagree with most of AZ's opinions of Rice, except that he'd be an upgrade to any pass rush as anemic as Denvers has been for years.
Not saying he'd start for Denver, but he may not start wherever he ends up. And he fits in with the Really Old/Really Young mix of players. Imo, Denver keeps 6DE's.....2 rookies....Ekuban....Dumervil....Engelberger?..... Lang?
The question is, does Rice have anything left? Denver passed on him before and regretted it.
Just don't get carried away with a bidding war for him.
I think Kalimba Edwards of the Lions got hurt this weekend. So keep that in mind....

Exactly, who gets pushed down or even off the roster in order to make room for him?
Jav just started a thread in GD about our rookie defensive linemen. The article seem to indicate that Crowder might just push Engelberger from the starter role and Moss more and more is looking like he will be getting alot snaps as a nickle pass rusher.
Simeon Rice would NOT be a back-up on this team at this point. He would be a 3rd down specialist...but a STARTING 3rd down specialist/pass rusher for this team.
