  • Darkest 24 hours in Bronco history

I was heartbroken last night after we lost. Couldn't believe we just lost another game at home this year and was completely disgusted we let a division rival take our spot in the playoffs. Then waking up to this news this morning was like a massive hit in the gut after being kicked and down on the ground. We ALL will get past this and next year I hope the team, families of the players and fans make next year special for one of our fallen hereos. Make it count next year guys. RIP Darrent, you're already missed. Personally, now I'm glad this season has come to a close. This was the icying on the cake and now it's time for everyone to reflect on life , the season and have time to heal from all this.

Agreed. I don't know if it could be any worse.

Yep i was thinking that as well.

Next year our guys will have something to play for beyond themselves and the team.

      RIP Darrent

The last 24 hours of Broncos history makes Black Saturday seem like a walk in the park.

Dumb question here....what is Black Saturday?

I lay my "whys" before your Cross, in worship kneeling, mind to numb for thought, heart beyond all feeling. And worshipping, realize that I, knowing you, don't need a "why". Ruth Graham

This is a dark time in Broncos history and nobody will ever forget this day, but after this year it seems like there is no where but up from here.
            ...capture it...remember it...

Black Saturday is the day we lost to the Jaguars in the playoffs. It was supposed to be OUR YEAR. It was an incredibly dark day in Bronco history. Then, to make matters worse, about a week later, we had Pat Bowlin announcing new uniforms and logos... man, that was a kick in the gut too. Ripped apart our identity and tradition! But then we win our first Super Bowl the following year and there was a lot of healing.

But this... dang, I just don't have the words to describe how I am feeling today. We had an open house for all our neighbors today and every time I was wished a "Happy New Year", I thought of Darrent and how it sure as hell doesn't seem like much of a happy one to me.

Hopefully we will come back to win the Superbowl next season, all in memory of Darrent Williams.

I didn't know it was called that although I do remember the day that it happened. I was extremely upset because I felt that we'd been robbed that day. I was also eight months pregnant. My husband (at the time) got me to go for a walk with him to make me feel better and I fell and broke my ankle.
