Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

DENVER (Dec. 1, 2005) -- In a memo released by league commissioner Paul Tagliabue today, the NFL confirmed that Denver Broncos starting quarterback Jake Plummer will be suspended for a single game for "failure to adhere to league regulations regarding the fraternization between players and team cheerleaders."
The resulting suspension will mean that Plummer, who name has been circulated by some as a candidate for league MVP for the 2005 season, will miss the much-anticipated matchup this weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs. This crucial AFC West division game has major post-season implications on the line for both teams.
Head coach Mike Shanahan was not reachable for comment at the time of this story.
Earlier this season Plummer was romantically linked by a Rocky Mountain News columnist to a team cheerleader, Kolette Klassen, which prompted a local morning radio show to label her a "jersey chaser." Plummer's response to the columnist, which involved a heated cell phone conversation, ended with comments that broadly blasted Denver Broncos fans. The resulting comments were later printed, forcing Plummer to apologize shortly after.
According to Tagliabue's memo, Plummer has "repeatedly rejected requests by the league to to end his relationship with Ms. Klassen" and further stated that "the NFL disciplinary committee had no other recourse but to act in a manner to ensure compliance with regulations long-established regarding the conduct of players." Reportedly, league officials will reconvene next Wednesday to "further discuss the situation with Mr. Plummer and his agent to determine if any further action or continuation of this suspension will be required."

I mean, c'mon! I have a hard time with Plummer at times, but this is just stupid! Here we are, poised to make the strongest run into the post season in years and this joker is too busy chasing tail instead of the trophy!!!
I hope she's worth it, Jake.
Then Chad Johnson should get suspended for proposing
