Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

i heard from my friend that John is going to retire after this season. is that true? because if it is its gonna be a huge loss to our secondary to me. we need a physical safety like him to put on the big hits.
Put yourself in Sam Fisher's situation: His daughter died in a car crash, by a drunk driver. His wife died 16 years ago by an illness and he has lost his job from the government. How would you handle it?

What he brings in experience certainly outweighs any of his deficiencies. Some say he is to slow to play DB.
I say he seems to be in on all the plays. Unless we can trade for reed, we need to draft great one and season him for a couple of years under or next to John. Although I really liked what I saw of browner at safety.
I read a Lynch quote a couple of weeks ago that said something to the effect of him continuing to play a couple more years. The rookie DBs this year, strangely enough, credit Lynch with their success due to his leadership and mentoring. If he could teach a young promising safety the ropes we would be in good hands. Also look at Chris Young and Sam Brandon (though Young is hurt) both have begun to finally step out and I think it is no coincidence it happened when Lynch came to our team.
its just that he is getting kind of old nowadays...and he retires in Madden06 like after the 2nd year.
