Hey Broncomaniacs...
Hope you are all had a good Thanksgiving. Was Happy today that Michigan lost, the school that caused the Bronco problems for years by giving us both Tom Brady and Brian Griese should suffer a little.
Well hopefully we had a good week off. Worked out well for D. Stewart. Good for Denver resigning him so soon. It is back to football and facing a division foe in KC.
We have to play better than we did vs NO. We need multiple turnovers and a blocked extra point to win against one of the lowest ranked Ds in the NFL? Worse we had the lead and let Brees lead a scoring strike with a TD to win the game when we needed the D to step up? Unbelievable. Somehow we survived though.
The O-line play was again horrendous. Trev was sacked, attacked and Big Macked. Run game again struggled. We need to do better. In all three phases we need to improve. Oakland was gifted a win by the refs to give them a 8-2 record and the division lead.
How do we do in the 11 th game of the season. We are 5-5 in the last decade. Of the 5 wins 3 were at home 2 on the road. Of the 5 losses. 2 were at home , 3 on the road. Let's hope we are refreshed, revved up and ready go. KC barely won vs the Panthers, and lost to Tampa. They can be beaten, but Denver has to be smart.
Chiefs have won 17 of their last 20 games, in the 3 losses they scored 17 or fewer points and have committed 2+ turnovers in both. This game will need the D to be firing on all cylinders, especially stopping the run, that includes QB runs by Smith.
KC leads the league in turnovers, they have 13 Ints , so Trev will need to play carefully with the ball.
From a stats ppoint we are pretty even with KC in total yards, passing yards, rushing yards and points per game.
Alex Smith only has 7 passes of 20 yards or more this season, he will kill you with the short stuff if you let him.
One of us will be 8-3 the other 7-4 Carolina plays at Oakland in the afternoon, maybe they can help us out some.
Houston and Tamba Hali will be playing and maybe Lee Ford, so our Oline has to give Trevor some protection, and our D has to unload on the KC offense. Hoping Talib will be back in full force. We were hurting by his absence.
It gets harder each week this season, but please be mindful of what you post and lets try to enjoy the game. Watch what you say and how you say it in a post. Please follow the COC and thank you in advance for your time. Hope we end with a "W" and finish the second part of our season with some momentum. GO BRONCOS!!!
