It wasn't the main target, you have layers because teams don't bite like they used to, so you have a deep route, and intermediate route (the one he threw) and a shorter route.

Why is it that VJ gets the blame for Bills bad play calling on offense?

Maybe because he is on record saying we have to pass to score. Until this week we were a pass first team that struggles to pass but excels to run the ball.

Like others mentioned ultimately he is the HC and responsible for all success and failure.

KC has the Browns, Cardinals, Raiders twice the rest of the season. True they play the Rams - but - I don’t see how they could realistically be worse than 11-5 at the end of the year.

I know we are not technically out of it yet, but...

If we do still have any chance at all, it would be as a WC team. To do that we absolutely need to finish ahead of the Chargers (5-2), and then also finish at least second amongst the following group:

- Bengals (5-3)
- Ravens (4-4)
- Dolphins (4-4)
- Titans (3-4)
- Jags (3-5)

Why is it that VJ gets the blame for Bills bad play calling on offense?

Because he's the HC and ultimately they take the blame for the entire coaching staff, especially when they've already fired one OC.

Pete Carroll stepped up and openly took the blame for a bad play call he had nothing to with. He said it was his call, he made the decision. Can you see Joseph doing that same thing?

I only knew he was going to miss when we called the timeout and iced him.

I'm pretty sure they didn't have the right personnel on the field, so they took the time-out to save the FG attempt rather than take the 5 yard penalty and punted. They should have punted.
