But didnt someone say its easier and we should be winning the line if we just run the ball, because when you can't pass block you must be great at run blocking.

First step is recognizing the team does this well
Second step is adopting the attitude that we are going to force our will onto the opponent
Third step is being ready for the run heavy defense with PAPs and other plays that exploit a run heavy defense
Fourth step is preparing the team for this with practice so that they can execute the plays with ease

far I can tell our coaching is still on step one...and may not have the ability to get to step 2 or 3

I would not have done it there but honestly I think we have the kind of team where 3-5 yards to go could be a legit run down....if we get our play design+play calling down and start to practice more what we will do in the game.
