Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Official Game Day Thread: 2020: Week 2 Broncos vs Steelers
I do not see this as a Fangio problem. I see two major issues here.
1. Elway never addressed the OT position in the off season. More specifically RT. James has been hurt and Bolles has had penalties. Also given the 2020 season and state of the world why just roll with Wilkinson as a backup RT....
2. Shermer- his record as an OC was mediocre. Imo wed have been better off targeting a more innovative college coach.
It's one thing for Driskel to come in with no expectations for an injured Lock in the middle of a game. But if he's the starter for at least the next 8 weeks and our season depends on his ability...yeah it's going to be a LONG 8 weeks.
Hard to disagree. But what an incredible fight from the team in the second half. From a game we were totally out of, we had a legitimate shot at winning.
I love the grit from the player for damn sure. I feel that the coaches let them down, constantly. Don't expect them to score every play. Do expect they are going to struggle with a young team. But the coaching is imnsho is consistently inconsistent.
To their top QB, WR, Rb, CB and Pass Rusher? It blows my mind people expect more from Denver right now knowing this.
stop saying rb bc Gordon is the best he is the starter.... Von was loss before the season even started and half of this board was calling for his head and coming up with trade scenarios. S.F... loss kittle, Jimmy G, Boss, Solomon, dee boo, and their second wr oh and Raheem M......no moral victories. Ijs. Oh and they still won.
Until we get a TRUE not name "Lock" qb we will miss the playoffs and be average at best! I'm E2DS and I approve this message! "AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW, NOW YA KNOW."
I disagree with it being all Fangio. He hasn't been perfect by a long shot..but I see players in position and not making plays. If OJM made the INT that hit him right in the hands. Or Courtland doing a "Vance Johnson" and needlessly falling down to make a "diving" catch instead of just keep running. Or the INT that bounced off Sutton's hands.
I think the comparison with Vance Joseph is more than fair. We lost a lot of close games under him, and those losses were blamed squarely on him. Heck, VJ was getting criticized for the way he "looked" on the sideline. Fangio not calling a TO last week while Tennessee ran down the clock was inexcusable. To have 3rd and 2 and not attempt to run the ball is just a bad coaching move.

Arguably, you can make the case the Lindsay is the better back since Gordon hasn’t had a 1,000 yard season since 3 years ago. Could blame on missing games but that’s why I said arguably. Lindsay has been a pretty big part of our offense so losing him is still a pretty big loss regardless.
When an injury happened doesn’t matter and whether people on this board wanted him or not, We still lost our top Pass rusher
San Fran lost their first game but won their second in large part of playing the Jets. Jets are easily the worst team in football right now. But for the sake of this argument, Grap still had throw two TDs before he went down and Raheem almost had 100 yards plus a TD. So they were already up 21 points.luckily for the 49ers they play Giants, Eagles, and Miami all teams that are 0-2 in their next 3 games. Def winnable. However, if they lose, I bet no one bats an eye considering how many people went down and I bet no one blames coaching.
