This is not the only way the NFL could have dealt with this. It is clearly punitive and may not end here. Calvin Anderson, an intelligent and well-educated young man, is correct to call it a double standard. That is supported by the inequitable way the league has dealt with all the teams.

I regret defending the NFL on some of their earlier decisions.

They are so inconsistent with their decisions it is hard to trust what is being done.
