Hey Bronco Fans,
Welcome to week five, you know the week after reality set in. That Ravens game was Brutal. The offense mustered 7 freaking points at a home game.
Defense was kinda clueless. For the 2nd time in his career a team has let Lamar Jackson pass for over 300 yards. Against a semi capable team we showed how over matched
and out coached we could be. I hear Coach Fangio is going to do better this week by trying to use some of last weeks timeouts in this game.
Hey at least the refs were being totally unfair and one sided. Shame on Teddy and Diontae Spencer for getting injured on illegal plays where no flag was called. They should know better...
On the Bright side at least we held the Ravens to under 100 yards rushing.... until Lock throws and INT and gives them the ball back to have one last running play to get it. It just wasn't good
for a whole lot of reasons.
KC got on the winning track. Chargers look great. We get to go on the road to Pittsbugh. Big Ben as of late has played like Uncle Ben. He is 3-4 vs Denver in regular games and has thrown at least 1 int in each game. Steelers are 1-3 this season and are desperate for a win. They are at home so the terrible towels will be waving for that terrible team. We just need to be less terrible to have a chance there. When we played there last September we almost pulled out a win. 26-21.
Even though the defense struggled last week, they are still doing mostly ok. The Broncos have not allowed a 60-yard rusher this season. PIT is averaging 55.3 rush YPG this season (fewest in NFL). Big Ben in his last 8 games has a 2-6 record, 5.9 pass yds/att, 12 TD, 8 INT, 80.6 passer rtg. He has went 4 straight games without passing for more that 1 TD.
Hoping Teddy is well enough to get the Nod. He has done better in hisfirst 3.5 games than Drew did in a half a game. We def need better play calling. Last 6 quarters 1 TD and 3 FGS.
That wont cut it in the NFL. Being with out KJ and Jeudy is hurting us. Steelers cant run the ball worth a lick, they rank 32, but they are a little better at passing then us. Defensively we are ranked 4th, they are 16th. So we do have a chance here.
In the last 10 years we are 5-5 in week 5 games. Of the five wins. All five were on the road. Of the five losses 3 were at home, 2 on the road. In an odd note
Fangio has actually won in week 5 the last two years beating the Chargers and the Pats on the Road. So it is not totally helpless. We just need to learn from last weeks miscues and
play better as a team.
Hoping for a better executed game, a better called game, a better reffed game and one where we emerge healthy. So many injuries on this team. I just want to see a better game. Over under is 40. I'd take the under unless Teddy is starting and the Defense does better this week.
4-1 is a possibility, not a given.. Regardless of outcome please follow the COC as always. If you see others violating the COC report them, don't engage them or feed the trolls. The board has a great group of long standing mods who help keep this place running. I hope you get to see the game, I've seen them all so far this season. The good, the bad and the ugly. Again I hope we leave the field healthy. I hope we do well enough and end up with the "W" Be safe out there, and as always Go Broncos!!!
