They wanted Teddy cause he already knows the saints offense.

    • Very winnable game today. A good team would find a way to win that game. They never rise to the occasion.

      • This is my unofficial statistic, but the crowd was 25-30% eagles fans. The eagles chant and cheers when the eagles made a play were pretty loud. Not a fun game to be at today.

We stayed competitive. Got down early and fought back. Was nice to see. A few mental errors cost big, but it was the most competitive we’ve looked in a losing effort all year.

Clean up the penalties, work on Gordon’s butterfingers and this is a performance to build on. Either way, I want to see what Shula could do as OC, especially if we’d give Lock a few starts at the end of the season. Already know for sure that the Teddy/Shurmur combo doesn’t work.

If it doesn’t work, then there’s no need to wait until the end of the season to put Lock in.

            • Nice to see Surtain get schooled by Smith.....

Fields, Parsons, Slater or trade down should have been the move.

              Surtain is nothing special.

Yeah, all that, BUT we should have Won!

Unfortunately, the Lock/Shurmur combo is worse than the Teddy/Shurmur combo. There is a common denominator there and it isn’t who’s under center.

                  • Lock has showed promise and actually has won from behind. He may be a splinter but coached up he will be great on another team. Teddy is just a person who plays for a pay check and is a broken knee cap for the team.

                    • QB is and has been our biggest need for many of years now and this year just like the past is just wasting all these offense weapons we have...there us just simply no way with sutton patrick
juedy fant gordon and this yearwilliams and before was hurt hamler we can not average at minimum 20+ a game...

yes better coaching would help to but its mainly the guy behind center is why we stink on offense esp. in the RZ

Add Fant to that list. He seemed to have a lot of big catches with Lock but has really not shown much with Teddy. He did have a few big first downs against Phily, but he just disappears.

Saints wanted Teddy because he already knows the system and clearly they didn't offer anything good for him or Paton would have most likely taken the offer.
