Yea, but did you see him last night?

          He was dominating the LOS.

Would be a solid veteran pick up especially if we go DT in the draft so we can groom our draft picks under Grady Jackson.

Sam Adams cannot be compared to Jackson especially after the way he played plast night, he would help our run defense right away.

Pittsburgh's O-Line is also not something to write home about either. It's been like that all year.

I'd much rather have big and strong than big and fat. Big and fat runs so much of a risk of conditioning issues.

I would say Jackson is pretty stong.

look, anything that improves our run defense is welcome here, and Jackson would sure as hell improve our run defense.

Heck, they made our defensive line look good.

He fits the scheme perfectly. Bates likes big men. Grady is almost 400 pounds you can't get much bigger than that.

Hell, when Jackson got cut some of us were saying we should replace Sam Adams. He would fit well in Bates' scheme if they go back to it. But he isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore. Definitely a stop-gap measure.

I wouldn't mind snagging him to start if we draft a DT that we need to groom.

Just did a search on this after reading Clayton's article on the top 5 FA left in the Free Agency. Biggest knock on him is that he is 35 years old.

Just curious, how many think this would be a good signing. A reasonable price expected.

If we trade for Robertson, we lose draft picks. This gives us the stop gap player that we could use to help groom future DT pick. Also, as big as he is, he should occupy 2 blockers, freeing up our other DT(Thomas) and our ends to push the pocket and rush the passer.

                        This seems smarter to me.
Personal goals: GOAL WEIGHT = 250lbs
Weight loss needed for FGW = 120 lbs
Weight lost so far: - 24 lbs

I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a workout. If he can be effective, and that's the key, then he'd be a great fit. He would add to a rotation featuring Thomas, McKinley, and a first-day rookie. I like it because we're not stuck with a deteriorating lineman with a huge contract (one that would be long and pricey even after the restructure of Robertson), yet we still have a solid vet to hold us over.

The logic is much like what I was hoping we would do at the safety position, and go figure, it's exactly what we did when we signed Marlon McCree to a one-year deal. Instead of signing McCree or some other even bigger name free-agent to a large, long-term deal, we got him on a one year rental to hold us over to next year.

Defensive tackles aren't known to come right in and be effective. This will allow our rook to ease his way into the game. Once his one year deal is up, our youngster should be closing in on becoming a stud next year. Great idea, if we can manage something like this with any solid vet defensive tackle, such as Grady Jackson.

I was suprised how well he played last year in Jax after the Falsons cut him. For as big as he is, I was suprised at his speed off the line.

The Jags used him correctly by rotating him in. Otherwise, he'd be gassed in quick fashion.

I would absolutely take him for a one year deal.

depends on the price to get him here. no doubt hes better than adams was. but if he wants too much forget it.
