  • my bold prediction about our 08 RB

many mock drafts i have looked at and many articals i have been reading suggest that if mcfadden falls to the pats pick they aquired from the 49'ers they will select mcfadden. many think he will not slide past atlanta or oakland and that is probably true, but if those clubs draft other positions of need then it is a possibility he does fall to them.. if this happens look for shannahan to be all over new england on a laurence maroney trade, i could without a doubt see this trade going down if everything falls into place

No way the Pats will trade away Maroney, especially not to Denver. They might trade their #7 pick though. If I were them, I'd take McFadden and keep Maroney.

My prediction for next year's starter at RB is either Young or Henry.

My prediction is that next year Mendenhall becomes a 1,500 yard rusher in Denver, challenging for the rushing title and wins offensive rookie of the year. But he does not make it to the Pro Bowl cause of biased idiots. Travis Henry will go to the Pro Bowl, because Shanahan moved him to fullback and he blocked for a 1,500 yard rusher...Shanahan is again reclaimed as an offensive genius, all the while Selvin Young rushed for an additional 750 yards, and we trade him for a draft pick in the 2009 NFL Draft - only to see him not be anything more then another Tatum!

I just don't see us fixin' what ain't broke.

If we want to fix our backfield, we need to get a real slobber knocker for a fullback.

Man i dont know what to say about our RB situation for the past 4 years ive been sick of this.

                  04 Bell-Anderson-Droughns
                  05 Bell-Anderson
                  06 Bell-Bell
                  07 Henry-Young

Whatever we do i just hope we can find an ever down back. Im kind of bored wondering who's going to step up in the run game, and im going on the record with this in saying i still believe in Travis Henry!!! Yea i said it

Most people try to believe in those who need it cause no one else does...believing in him is like believing a crack addict will look at the pipe, lay it down and walk away without touching it again, the odds are in favor though that the addict will be buying more next week when they learn life is not so easy!

Then the following year Mendenhall rushes for over 2,000 yards.

Ain't broke?!? Both Selvin and Henry broke down towards the end of the season. Henry has a tendency to do that, heck all brusing backs do. I'd perfer if we got more of Mendenhall or J. Stewart. Guys who can bowl over defenders, quick cuts and speed.

I don't think NE trades Maroney or drafts McFadden, they know they can get great value if they traded with someone. I can see a three way trade between Dallas, Denver, and NE. Don't know what picks go where, but it's the most likely scenario.

Denver's starting back will indeed be Selvin or Henry, but will change towards week 4/5.

i can't see that just because it's not the NBA and 3 way trades during draft day are rare as can be. And what the heck would we want and get out of that
Backing Moreno, Ayers, and Smith for 09.

This is the second post which you have stated things obviously you do not understand...Denver has made three way trades a few times in the past five or so years, including Lelie not long ago...it happens, not many teams trade players near the amount as Denver, we are one of the biggest trading teams in the NFL. Just like you stated as near it was that Romo was a character issue player on the other thread, because you state he used roids which suggested in a round about way that the front office knew of of him 'juicing' which is completely false. Shanahan and Bowlen have always been big on high character athletes and very anti-steroid...ask Daryl Gardner, who was cut the minute he tested positive and at the time we had just signed him to a lucrative contract.
