Okay it seems the unofficial count is in and it goes
      7 for DT
      3 for LB
      1 for S
      1 for RB
      and 1 for Wins

I may have miscounted but it seems the consensus is for DT. For myself DT is a close second behind LB followed by safety.

By that count, then I win!!

RB - if you think Henry/Young and Hall can do it stop drinking the koolaid
DT - we really need some veteran experience and some youth rotation
          OT - need competition
WR - someone other then Javon that doesnt have an ego issue or a knee issue.
S - need quality youth so we can draft someone next year
LB - OLB help would be needed.

          Special teams- needs major help.

bottom Line the players we get must be able to generate wins for us.

Well, being that Jobba the Hut could have easily broken off 130+ yards with 2 scores on any given day, I'm gonna go ahead and say that we need a stud DT or two to upgrade the line that my uncle called the worst in Broncos history.

              Just a thought.:hammer:

                Linemen RB SS FS

                1. DTs Defense allows us to controll the tempo of the game and wil give Cutler more opportunities to score.

                2. OT Have to protect our QB

                3. A serious stud at RB to keep the Defense off the field, and the pass rush off Cutler.

                4. 2 Fast MEAN Safties guys who like to hit and can run. No Cheap Deep!

Can I have some more koolaid please? I think it may be a good idea to draft a top notch HB... But Henry/young/hall have every bit of potential to "get it done". People seem to forget why we brought Travis here... He fits our system, he's powerful and quick. He showed a couple flashes of what he is capable of last year, as in one of the meanest stiff arm's in the league. Before all the chaos started last year Henry lead the league in rushing yards.

If THC some how manages to stay healthy and stay away from the damn reefer he'll make a good starter. As we saw, Young is a great compliment to him. Furthermore Hall shows he knows how to run the football with power.

As long as Henry stays healthy our run game would be fine... But, it is Travis Henry and he is bad guy and a powerful back.

The sad thing is Henry cannot manage to stay healthy and before we picked him up he's only been able to start maybe 50% of all his games. He's very injury plagued. Your right he's the kinda back Shanny would go after because somehow Shanny has gravitated over the years to people who have flags.

The RB has been static since we traded away Portis. If your content with RB's that just show flashes then get use to us always drafting a RB every year because the backs we have cannot get it done.

They are just one hit wonders afterall. I really hope we find the solution now then rather then later because at this point Cutler needs better weapons and a overall huge upgrade over Henry would do wonders for a gunslinger for Cutler.

D-tackle is far and away our number 1 need. We have a young pup (Thomas) who is trying to get up to speed and then a whole lot of nothing as far as starters after that. We could even use two new starters at D-tackle.

we need starters at D tackle instead of Rookies, if we get rookies I bet that we'll be calling for Heads next year as the rookie D-line struggles along the way. If we can find a quality Starter in FA and draft a rookie DT for rotation we should do it.

But I rather not rely on a hope and a prayer for a rookie D-line, because really what were lacking on our D-line is some experience and no level of talent can equate to experience on the NFL field. Now talent + experience will always trounce just pure experience. We need to find a balance for that right now.

Hey guys, first timer to your board. Long time Rams fan, but I love the offseason so I thought I'd pitch in around on some boards and I liked yours.

Like any team, the draft depends on what happens during free agency. Somewhere around here someone said they wanted to sign Brandon Chillar. If you guys can get him for a reasonable price he'd be a great addition. Granted he won't be making the probowl anytime soon but you can't afford to be paying 3 superstar linebackers with an aging secondary(if you don't keep Foxworth), almost no defensive line, if you do sign Chillar I can say he can play tackle better than Jimmy Kennedy if that helps you...

Shaun Rogers would be a huge addition to your front. Defensive end isn't your problem, you've got youth, speed and production. But the run defense...I can relate. If you guys can pull off a trade that doesn't involve your first round pick you'd be in great shape.

If you get Rogers and keep your first, you guys should take a long hard look at Rashard Mendenhall. This guy might just be the best running back in the draft. Darren McFadden is good, but he doesn't keep his legs underneath him. Mendenhall has some killer cutbacks that I know most of you guys would love in your blocking system.

There's been a lot of talk on your board about Johnny Q. Stewart. He's gotta be overrated. Everything he ran was out of a spread offense and a zone read. He ran laterally. He doesn't have a cutback like Mendenhall. He doesn't have the same fluidness that Rashard runs with and might not be taken in the first round, or even the first half of the second.

If you don't land Rogers, hope one of the Tackles lands at your spot. Still look at taking Mendenhall or even Kenny Phillips to push out John Lynch in a year or two.

I don't know your feelings on Javon Walker but you might wanna unload him if he's going to do the same stunt he pulled in Green Bay. If he's gone you gotta pick up a WR day one.

I've got more for you guys but I figured for the first post I've droned on long enough. Guys feel free to drop by the Rams fans message board, we love hearing other fans take on us. clanram.com Take it easy.

                                2008 Needs.......

I would say trade Henry for a good LB and keep Young as our primary back, then I would look at replacing a few on the offensive line to protect Cutler so he has more time to make the right decisions, then I would look at a safety to compliment our two bad ass corners. here is a wishful trade.... trade Henry and Walker to Washington for Portis !!!!!!!!!!
